Yup, it really really does hurt. :,(

Don't give up, and expect lots of those. Some player-provided advice that may or may not help. I use (some of) these tricks:

- Use factory-made items from high quality schematics whenever possible (no fails, high quality everytime). Experement raises the level of success of an item (moderate, good, great) and the lowest level of success is critical failure.

- Use resources with high unit toughness

- Experement on all hand-made components

- Pray to the god(s) of your choice before the final combine

- Wave a dead chicken over your head while reciting the "Cthulhu ftagn"

Better luck!

Kept telling everyone I did not want to make large houses because there is to many resources that could be lost in a failure. I only have 10 lots so it takes a while to get enough to make them. I get everything made relog 3 times so I could get the storage modules out of the crate. then Crit failed on the final combine. That hurts.

It's one of the TKA specials. Pretty sure it's Unarmed Knockdown 2, but I'm not positive on that.

The other day, i took on my guildmate(a pistoleer, BH w/pistols, and a smuggler)and my ass was handed to me on a silver platter. I am a BH 2-4-4-4. I could not get a shot in, at all. He kept using a little special know as stopping shot on me as the first shot. I cannot belive this special......

Now here's the question: What would be worse, Spamming FKD(before it was nerfed)or one shot of stopping shot?

Even before the nerf of FKD we had a chance to miss........this stopping shot is insane......

I guess i am posting just to vent. I have sat and watched my profession go from the most sought after, to the biggest joke.

Stopping shot effectively removes you from combat for a certain period of time, you cannot fire back. If you spam it every other attack, since it has no timer like our knockdowns do, then you simply will win all fights with no effect to yourself.

I think it was 10 seconds that you couldn't fire back.......

This was my first run-in with this attack.......an eye-opening expierence to say the least.

Panic shot is like that. (lvl 2 smuggler special)

It's a good thing we have a good pistol special on BH pistol 2, of course dabblers would get it spam the hell out of it, till its nerfed or moved to Master.

O wait thats happening now.

Dabblers arefleeing theBH Pistol tree faster than a French soldier onthe battlefield.

That's incorrect.

Stopping Shot is a 5x damage shot of random HAM.

Now Smuggler's Panic Shot, however, causes a 10-second delay on all attacks. Maybe that's what you saw. In any case, it's onthe Delaytimer (not the KD timer, but the one dealing with Warcry, which does the same thing), and you can't simply spam it over and over and have that be effective. Still, it's very useful, since it's a cone delay.

Speaking as a Smuggler, I think Panic Shot is the next big nerf magnet. It's in the second tier of Dirty Fighting, and my suggestion is to moveit to Master Smuggler to keep all the opportunists from sweeping in to pick the low-hanging fruit. Panic Shot was broken for so long that most people didn't even know what it was, but after the latest patch got it working again - and very well, at that - there are huge numbers of newly-minted Smugglers climbing the Dirty Fighting line. It's the new Expert Bounty Hunter line, and it's going to get hammered by the Devs.

Just wait it out. Everyone else has had to wait out the Eyeshot nerf. What goes around comes around.
