Thread: Is it just me or are some harvesters losing maintenance pools?

I am starting see some more complaints on this. At first I thought it was just me forgetting one harvester in a group of 9, but now I am starting to see harvesters that I am sure I filled with maintenance sitting at 84% after 12 hours. I will have 3 harvesters sitting there (med or small) and 2 are running and one is not.. same resources, same amount of power, just one of them ran out of maintenance a few hours before.

Has anyone else here noticed this?

How about gettinga connection lost when trying to open a harvester.. that has been an issue for me for a while. Once I saw the bandwidth part of the meter jump from the normal 0.0 or 0.2 to 48.4 for about 6 seconds.. I have not had an actual disconnect in a couple days, but I get severe lag in opening a harvester maybe one out of 4 times..

It *is* just you.

Actually I've had harvesters lose maintenance in front of my own eyes, but only in small amounts.

Many timesI've put enough money to exactly bring maintenance to 3000 creds. Twice now I've had the amount of maintenance in the harvester jump to exactly 2970! WEird. I stick 30 more in and it's fine, and I reclaim the deed. One of these times I'd even already stopped the harvester. But I leave the status window open while I pay. Then I open ststua again and I have two windows to compare and I can see how much I just put in, and bam, 30 creds disappeared. Weird.

I've lost 4 harvesters this way already. By the time I come back the next day, after paying them up, I find them too far gone to bother recovering the deed. So, I just trash them and make a new one.

I have yet to see a pattern to this. I have also seen this in groups where I know I paid each one up, and one of them has gone bad.

I think this is a known problem, though, and eventually, I assume they will try to fix it.

Philomorph, I don't suppose the harvester where you saw the maintenance go down by 30cr before your eyes... was a harvester with a 30cr maint rate? Maybe it "ticked" and the maint dropped like it was supposed to?

I've been logging and documenting this for over a week now, they are definitely broken. They might work correctly for a while, then suddenly they start sucking up the maintenance at double rate. This will run one down into not working very quickly.

I had one heavy harvester use 4300 in one day, when it should have used half of that. Same for two of my solar harvesters.

This bug seems to affect all harvesters. On average, each of my harvesters gets hit about every 2nd or 3rd day. Some might claim they have no problems; this is just those people with lots of money so they don't pay attention or else they are too lazy to record/verify their harvester records.

I have been running 36 harvesters for about a week now, 28 almost since launch. 7 mediums, 1 solar, 28 personals. Only once have I seen something odd on a medium harvester where I was sure that I paid maint. on it and yet it was empty, and calculating the amount of resources on it, it shut down minutes after I was there. (it only had 7 ore on it) I place 2000 maint/1400 powereach day on the mediums, 700 maint/600 power on all the smalls, 1440 on the wind and solar harvesters. I very rarely have to adjust the amount paid out, but this is usually the case after looking at the status. Many of these harvesters have been up since day 2 or 3 of the game going live. I only pay out one day at a time as I am anticipating a resource shift anyday now and I only intend to reclaim the mediums and the solar, all others will be destroyed and most likely replaced with mediums/heavys. Which I am starting to stock pile whenever I am bored and have a few resources and components left laying around after filling orders. So my point is, I am more inclined to think that my cash never made it to the harvester like it showed due to lag or whatever, but I have never seen the maintenance rate get doubled, if that where the case, then I would assume I would see a lot more shutdowns then just the one I encountered last night.

I was of course thinking the same thing. But medium harvesters don't have a maintenance rate of 30 do they? I don't remember off the top of my head...

My Heavy Mineral installation pump twice cash, i saw this today.

Yesterday, i have put cash for 5 next day in all my harvester, and today i have check my harvester at same houre of the day than yesterday, result :

Heavy had 3 day left instead 4

Medium had 4 day left

My heavy mineral had 11-12k cash in yesterday, and today when i checked 6.5k, the normal rate is suppose to be 2160 credit per day, so they literaly bugged and start to be real pricy =D

Actually I watched it happen on a heavy harvester, since I was curious. I stood and waited, noting that the status window says 45 is maintenance, which actually means 90 per hour. As I'm waiting it suddenly went down by 90, so I'm curious and wait another hour.

After that hour I pop it open, and sure enough, 1 hour later it has used 180 credits up.

I repeat this, waiting yet one more hour, and yep, it used another 180 in that next hour.

That works out to about 4300 per day, double the correct rate.

This has happened to me several times on our PA Harvesters. We have 18 Medium harveters, 5 Solar Gens, and two Gas harvesters. Each day, I make sure they all have 2.5 days worth of creditsand power in all of them. But when I check them the following day, at least one of them seems to have dropped 2.5 days or more in power and/or money. I would say it happens to one of the harvesters every other day or so.

*Raises hand*

I too have been losing maintenance, this nearly destroyed my fledgling business. I couldn't afford to put in a couple thousand maintenance at night, go to work the next morning, come home, find my harvesters shut down, almost no collected resources, and at 84% damage or more requiring 1000's to fix them all.

I had no choice but to destroy them. I am currently waiting to see if this bug gets fixed before plopping down a new harvester farm.

No, it's not just you. I've noticed the same thing myself. Enough to prompt me to start logging the exact amounts of maintenance I pay, the exact time, and the exact time left on them (according to the status). I've only been doing it for 2 days, but after about a week, I should have a pretty thorough set of data.
