I apologize in advance if this isn't the right board for these questions. Unfortuneatelt, there seems to be noprofession specifically devoted to furniture crafting.

First, I have seen a picture of a Tattooine home with a rectangular table sitting at an angle. How is this done? I only have the ability to rotate furniture 90 degress at a time.

Next, how do you place items on shelves or tables? I've only heard about the shelves but I've actualy seen pictures of player tables with flowers on them (small plant type 1, I believe).

Any information will be appreciated.

If you have stairs in your home, you can use the stairs to place items higher off the ground. What you do is you climb up the stairs, drop the item at the height you want and then use the move forward and back commands to place it "on" tables and such.

Is that the only way? I think it's very creative granted :-) but I would think a 'desk top lamp' should have a 'place on top' command, you know?

If you use the radila menu rotate command, you can only rotate in 90 degree increments, there is a /rotate command where you can specify the degree of rotation, you can also/move in smaller increments too.

I'm not sureexactlywhat the command line is but if you /rotate itshould give you the proper commmand structure.

Hope that helps.

The / commands for furniture movement are:

/moveFurniture [ forward | back | left | right ] <increment>

/rotateFurniture [ left | right ] <increment>

Note that the directions are all relative to the direction you are facing, so don't move your character once you start or you'll throw off the increments.

who here thinks furniture is annoying to place and move? I had an idea that furniture placement could stand to be a little like placing houses on terrain. The overhead view and easy rotation would make having furniture in a house easier by reducing the time of placing it.

Not sure if you know about this, but moving furniture can be made much easier by doing two things.

1. Use the line commands instead of the radial menu. Target the furniture and do any of the following:

/move forward # (where # = 1 to 50)

/move back # (where # = 1 to 50)

/rotate right # (where # = 1 to 180)

/rotate left # (where # = 1 to 180)

2. Create Macros for the above commands and put them in a separate toolbar. Have commands to move items back and forth by factors of 1 and 5, as well as rotate by factors of 45, 90, and 180. Once you get use to the commands, you can move furniture around quite easily.

I find it rather easy. There's only 4 commands to learn. I set up every piece of furniture I make in my medium showroom in less than an hour.

Not a clue, sorry. This question is worth staying at the top though as I'm very interested in an answer as well, so I guess this is a bump.

Just drop your item anywhere where's there's stairs. Drop the item on the stairs , then rotate and move to where you want. The item/furniture will stay at the same height as the step you dropped it on....
