CRITICAL FAILURES NEED TO STOP!!! I just failed a medium house! No biggy, i'll just make it again tomorrow. YEA RIGHT. With what god **edit** money? Architects make no profits cause of critical failures. O yea, Q, if you read this remember: YOU WANTED TO MAKE THE GAME FUN, THIS IS NOT FUN.

Idc, increase critical failures on componants, butget rid of it onHouses and Installations. Its just to big of a loss for non PA-aligned architects to deal with. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT NOW DEVS. This profession is already in the **edit**ter, do something to pull it out NOW.

Dude, you are a Zabrak, what did you expect. You need to be a fighter, not an architech. If architecture was your thing, then you should have been Mon Cal. The different races are not just skins, they actually have meaning and purpose and the developers got this one right. If you want to be a Zabrak then make one on a different server as I did for a wookie. Granted I don't have much time to play him, but the wookies are my favorite race in the game. I do like Mon Cals though, so having to play one to be a worthwhilearchitech was fine. I get the race nerfs in anything other than architech, as a Zarbrak should get the bad crit failures being an architech. That is how the game is played. You can either take up fighting or delete your character and make a Mon Cal and go back through and become an architech.

I do understand your frustration. I get a crit failure once every couple of weeks, and it is upsetting. Then again, it also makes that final assembly that much sweeter.

Races should mean something, but not huge critical failures. Im a novice carbineer and architect. I did architect on a zabrak cause of the huge mind +. Its just BS.

The "Where the hell are our other 45 Assembly Points?" Issue should be #2, right after "Why the hell does Construction do absolutely nothing?"

I get the feeling the mind pool plays no affect on the crit failures, but the +10 structure assembly does.

You know, I really get tired of people saying you need to be Mon Cal to be an architect. There is not a single other craft profession where anyone says "you're screwed because you aren't *whatever race gets a bonus for that profession*".

Once we get the +100 assembly at master, we will be ok.

I know it's frustrating as hell to crit fail structures. Been there, done that many a time. But there IS a light at the end of the tunnel. Once you do hit master, even without the +assembly fix, your crit fails WILL drop, by quite a bit.

I get a kick out of reading some of the lengths people go to to minimize fails. I have not seen any evidence that ANY of the proposed solutions work. It's a random number generator folks. It does seem possible that advancing furniture is borked, because I never failed so much as when I had furn 4 and was working my way up the construction tree, but hitting master ended that bad streak. Other than that (and being a mon cal till the +assembly is fixed...after that it really won't make much of a difference) I don't think anything else is affecting the fail rate.

Well, theres been more than enough threads on Crit Fails. Being an architect I feel your pain but I think its time we let up on the threads concercing crit fails as our correspondant, Zarcath, already adressed this concern in his first week submission. In fact, its the biggest part of that submission so rest-assured, the devs are looking into it... I hope

And btw, if your pricing scheme does not take the chance of crit fails into account, then it IS your own fault that you don't have any money.

I'm glad I chose to be a fish man hehehe. The biggest thing I've failed on yet as an architect is a sturctural module That +10 mon cal get seems to really help. Out of the about 100 or so different components and deeds I have made I've probably failed twice.

I'm a mon-cal architect, and I've lost at least 40k resources to crit fails, and I'm nowhere near halfway to master yet

I'm a mon cal. I'm a master, and in a 2 day span last week I failed on a fustion and on a heavy chem. 50K plus units of resources poof. That's life. Welcome to the world of the architect. I wish we had 100+ structure assembly, I wish the components would stay on a failure, I wish a lot of things, but what we have is a very buggy game (I freaken HATE factory crates), and we make the best of it.

Just so you know, I've gone completely superstitious now in how to reduce failures. I actually target the crafting station before final combine (not that odd), but I also go /prone (this looks a little weird). I figure, if it can help accuracy in shooting maybe, just maybe it will help structure assembly as well. Oddly, I have yet to fail when do these things. When I do I'll probably shift to something else equally bizzarre.
