Anyone else having difficulty take structural storage modules out of a factory crate? Here I am trying to build a large house and cannot simply because I cannot remove items from a crate. I double click it the nuber reduces by 1, nothing shows up and the number goes back to its original value.

I am having the same problem. I am trying to make my first and only fusion generator (architect is waaay to boring) and since I am not PA backed it is waaaaay to hard to keep up with the amount of resources needed, it took me 5 days to get enought resources together to get it done, and I cant just because I can't get the **edit** factory generators out of my crate!

I got the same bug today trying to produce walls

For me at least, the bug is related to when I stop manufacturing. If there's a job in progress, whatever number was in the output hopper when I stopped the factory becomes the number where I can't get stuff out of the crate.

Today I set the factory to make 8 walls. I stopped the factory mid-production to put stuff into the input hopper, and got that automated email saying 6 items have been completed. I start the factory up again and a short time later I take out the full crate (8 items) and try to remove the walls out the crate. 8...7... once I get to 6 the number keeps goes to 5 for a split second and then goes back to 6 and nothing comes out.

Anyway I'm logging for the night. Sick of this buggy piece of **edit**

Same thing worked for my friend. You have to log out long enough for the in-game avatar to disappear completely, not just go LD.

I've had this happen to me several times in the past few days. My guess is that this is related to their database queue problem or the fix that they made to correct it. You don't even need to log out, just wait a few minutes. Sometimes taking items from another factory crate will re-enable the first. I made 60 structural modules the other night, got out 42 of them, then was stuck at 18 for a while. Walked around and talked to people, got out 4 more, checked some harvesters, got out 5 more, etc.

Same thing happened to me when I was making a PA hall. The 2 ident. power core units were in a stack that wouldn't let me get them out. I think it's a matter of a timer on them. They were the first units that hadn't been in the factory for about 20 minutes before I picked them up (since they were the last thing I needed). So I waited a while, i.e. I was writing a customer service ticket that was running a little long, and then tried again, i.e. to make sure it wasn't just a fluke. They popped right out.

Anyone know the going rate for factory crates of synth cloth or for the schematics for a run of 100?

It varies from server to server. My suggestion would be to find an establishedtailor on your server and ask them. I'm on Radiant I sell a crate (25 units)for 2K usually (I give discounts as well).

Personally, I sell crates of cloth at 1500 per crate. I haven't got any complains over that price yet. I sell reinforced panels for 3000 per crate and have heard that many tailors sell them for 2800.

As far as selling schematics, that is a long debate that you can find in a previous thread somewhere.

I'm a bit higer than SuicidePanda at 2K a crate, but less for RFPs at 2.7K a crate.

The manufacturing cost if you harvest your own materials is about 500 creds a crate (If you use 5 harvesters, 4 for fibreplast and 1 for polymer, placed on reasonable concentrations, with a wind generator and a small house for a shop and a factory. Cheaper if you use solar generators) So everything over 500 creds is profit. It's a matter of deciding how much of what the armorsmith/tailor who uses your materials profit you want to make and the current market conditions.

As I recall, the "Official" response I got from the community when I asked this question was 2.5K For Synth and 3K for RFPs. But it's still an opinion and nothing more. Sell it for a price you can make a profit on. (Too high no one buys and too low and you won't get enough money and too many order requests for your mental health to handle. )

Hmm, interesting. I've been selling the synth cloth crates for 4000 and RFP for 6000, and people will buy them.

They don't move especially fast, though - but I'm starting to like it that way, since I'm needing to use more and more of the crates for my own stuff. I'm in the business of making clothes, not selling components.
