The problem with that is, technically, your balcony is outside. Therefore you're no longer IN the structure so you can't place anything.

Correct... and the request is to fix this. If you make the house inside act like a cube, all the vertical space is included as well as the lateral space.

Also, make things movable through doorways. How annoying is it to try to move something under an arch and get the "Invalid Location" message?

-Nah-

Though it isn't a problem for those who use houses with no balconies (e.g. any Corellian ), it is still a problem especially for guild halls.

Unless such GH halls are designed to house some kind of "guild ship" for the Space expansion, I say let us build outside on our own properties

The suggestion about putting things in the yard might give developers a different way of thinking about the problem. If the right to place objects in cities is based on the squares that control structure placement it may be possible to allow individuals the right to place items outside in the squares their houses occupy. That would allow placement both in the yard and on the balconies.

I don't think we need a petition for this.... from what I've seen, it's in the list proposed to the devs by Dvnce. Isn't it? Check 10 questions...

We don't need a petition to know that everyone agrees on this. lol
