I really have to tip my hat to all Master Architects that have stuck with this crappy profession. I recently took over my fathers MA account and it's so terribly boring! My main is a Master Weaponsmith and I have a great time with him. When I make an awesome weapon I get tons of /tells stating kudos and offers to buy said weapon. I cannot picture that ever happeing with Architect.
There really needs to be a change. Maybe more of a Sim City thing where an Architect can change player cities, add skyscrapers, lakes, rivers... you name it. Maybe give all structures over to the Arch proff, faction bases and whatnot.
I don't know. Anything at all to put some pizzaz into this proffesion. I'm not going to givve up on it yet, but man, I just had to say something.

Honestly the architect profession is the most need needed prof on the server..
1) without our harvesters doctors, chefs, weaponsmiths, and everyone else would be "S""O""L" {**** OUTTA LUCK}
2) without our factories everyone would be unable to make crates of stuff
3) without our houses the most inv you could have is 230 {bank(100),backpack(50),Inv(80)}
I love my profession.. I have been one since the launch of this game... I have built 6 cities.. I have sold over a million pieces of furniture.
I love this Profession.. If anyone remembers the TV show "Cheers",,, you know the lyrics to the themesong.. "You want to go where people know, troubles are all the same, You want to go where everyone knows your name"We moan and goan but WE ARE HERE!! 95% of all the architects are helpful with each other. the newbs included.. if they ask a question they get an answer or directed to the source where they can find their answer.
So I say LONG LIVE THE ARCHITECTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But if you know the whole song, you learn that:
1) You're a deadbeat and didn't pay the electric bill
2) Your child is torturing the cat.
3) You've been left at the altar 3 times.
4) Your coffee maker is broken.
5) Your psychiatrist skipped the country.
6: Your husband wants to be a girl.
Basically, architects may or may not be better off than the person in the song.
However, if it weren't for architects, you'd be homeless.

I feeling you guys, I really am. I have no reason to get as frustrated over WS problems now. I'm sticking with Arch for the simple fact that changes HAVE to come eventually and for a Proff as borked as this one, I'm sure those changes will be sweet.

Too funny. ![]()
We do it by being prepared. I just built two complete cities for over 16 million credits in STRUCTURES. It probably took me about a month of factory time to be prepared for that order. I completed them in less than a day from the time the emails were received.

I'm both a WS and an Architect and I make far more money as an architect... I can't keep my vendor stocked... I get depressed when I see that I sold 2 flamers for 20k each, instead of 5 Heavy Harvesters for 100k each... Weaponsmith is a lot more work than architect. I'd much rather be making walls.

I have been a master WS and currently my alt is a master Architect. I must say Architect is far less stressfull than a WS for the fact that you dont need a specific type of resource to complete an item.....it used to anger me when I was a WS and had 20 crates of different kinds of steel laying around and still did not have the right type to complete an item. With Architect its easy

There is a post, I forget from who... Concerning the Architect "creed" or "motto" as it were. You would have to ask the old timers around here for the link, cause I bet when I bring this up they will know exactly what I am talking about and post a link for ya.
Anyways, I was just barely finished with my Architect grind, had been a Master for maybe 2 days, and i heard about these forums. I have since then kicked myself in the backside for not coming here first to learn the profession, and the ins and outs of the trade, like any smart person would have done. Not all bad though, I did have a mentor, Xosa, who taught me quite a bit not just about architect, but about pricing and resources etc...
Back to my point... This post, inspired me to learn more about the profession, and I vowed that day that I would stick with it, no matter what.
And now I love it... There is nothing better than making each of these components by hand, then assembling them together, and seeing that you have accomplished something.
