Ok, as a test I went to check out test center without armor.
With 0 combat skills and in my underwear:
I wandered around outside Mos Entha. Worts, krettle, ril, mound mites, womp rats were all non-agressive and didn't bother me at all. All of them were non-agro on radar showing as yellow dots.
I tried to find something else to fight and I drove 1k outside of town but didn't see any spawns.
I equiped my awesome CDEF carbine, drove back to town and picked a fight with a worrt (cl 3). It took 30 seconds but he incapped me. I recovered and he attacked me again when I wasn't paying attention and incapped me a 2nd time. When I got up again I jumped in my speeder and drove off.
Next I flew over to Daeric, Talus to find some more people to pick fights with. I found the Chunker Nitwits (cl 1) who hang out at the back of the starport. They are non-agro. I attacked one and ended up killing it while only loosing about 50% of my health.
Feeling cocky, I attacked a Fed-Dub Patrolman (cl 7). It took him 2 hits and I was incapped and he killed me. Meany. Right outside the cloner I found a Fed-Dub captain (cl 19). I was mad about the last Fed-dub killing me so I shot at this one. 3 seconds later I was looking at the sky. But this guy wasn't so mean and didn't DB me. Pushing my luck I took a shot at a Fed-dub investigator (cl 14). He insta incapped me but didn't DB. Well thats enough with the Fed-dub.
I figured I'd find someone my own size to pick on. Out by the garage behind the starport I found a bunch of Sleemo Hoodlums (cl 2). I took a shot at one and about 50 seconds later he was no more. /cheer /flex The other Sleemos didn't come to his aid. I wandered out behind the starport and found some putrid decay mite hatchlings (cl 4). I shot at one and 14 seconds later it incapped me.
I decided to find some more mobs to pick fights with. I drove out towards the Giant Fynock cave POI. ON the way I got aggro'ed by some red Foaming Vynock (cl 14). But they didn't hit me and I drove away on my speeder.
Once I got to the Fynock cave I ran past the yellow decay mites. I found the first Sludge Panther (cl 16). He incapped me in 1 hit. I woke up and ran but he incapped me again (griefer). I got up and ran away. I went a bit further into the cave past some fynock of various levels all non-agro. Ran past some Guf Drolg who were also non-agro. When I got to some Frenzied Fynock Guardians (cl 11) one of them incapped me and gave me a free trip back to Daeric.
/shrug
Summary:
Most mobs are yellow. Stuff under CL 5 isn't too dangerous. No insta one hit DB from lawn trash. Level 7 or higher can insta incap but won't necessarily DB. I effectively drove away from agro mobs in my speeder and got away from a CL 16 mob who incapped me 2 times.
Tomorrow I'll do some similar testing with a non combat character on a live server.

I have no combat skills on live. My main fears on Naboo are from hostile NPCs like Maulers and Trade Federation. I know the TF faction was screwed up a while ago so that they'd attack you regardless if you were good with them or not. Not sure if that was fixed.

Solution: One level 80 combat alt to every seven crafters. Form a group. Leave the alt sitting somewhere and go about your business. Suddenly creatures that were 1-hit incapping you before take 20 hits or more to incap you. Can you say solo group?

Without combat skills, now will be hard time to go some where if you don’t have some combat of friend to cover you as… back. Is it good or bad, I really don’t know. It will be good at start but after so long no one know can be sure if it good or bad.

I guess I had better start working on dropping Doc with a backup toon, and pick up merchant with him, so I can at least have a combat tree, and maybe, just maybe, be able to survive while harvesting my resources. If I am lucky, I might just be able to stay awhile. If not, oh well, life has been fun around here.

The little pink hearts were the most disturbing part of that.

I'd be curious to see how a PSG would perform in protecting you against agro mobs. Sounds like you don't have to worry about the low level stuff hanging around the NPC cities...it's the maulers and trade feds and plains hunters that kill me now, so I am guessing they will have no problem killing me after the CU. At least now I can throw on some armor and live long enough to escape.
If a good PSG works well enough to give you that chance to escape then things might not be as bad as I envision them. Hmmm...can you use an anti-decay kit on a PSG?
Hiring people or getting your guildies to follow you around while you survey and check harvesters for a couple of hours a night just isn't a viable option in my opinion. Sure it might be new and novel at the outset but it won't take long before it gets tedious having to spam for an escort in Theed or hope some of your guildies just happen to be sitting around with nothing to do.
I guess I'll just wait and see how it pans out when this all goes live. /shrug

I mostly looked at Talus myself since that is where I live now. For Talus I don't see a big concern, the planets wildlife is wimpy enough that even a level 1 crafter could manage if they run away quick enough.
If your factory or harvesters are camped by some nasty mob then you'll have to call in some sort of help to clear them out but that is the case right now.
Lok or Dantooine might be a different matter though. I'll have to see. If I have some time, I'll check it out on some other planets tonight.

I was doing the same running around in underwar thing... was going great until I went to mos eisley as a rebel combatant... walked out of the starport and got subsequently 1 hit incapped by a stormie, then he camped me until I had to clone :/
Moral of the story, emperors with no clothes should beware descriptions describing them as "combatants"....

KING Pawlin the Elitist's royal bathrobe does't fit very well and leaves too little to the imagination.

I have no idea what you are talking about. The KING wears the most regal attire fashioned by the most talented tailors that money can buy!!
What is a 'bathrobe'?
