If I get it, maintnance cost like 1k gold per day for the low harvester... + the powerr, How are we suppose to afford it ? We will have to do 2 days of delivery mission for 1 day of harvesting ? **edit**...

This really sucks. They need to now offer teh ability to re-deed your harvestor and collect the funds. It is going to kill me to not only have to pay for the maintenance but also lose all of the maintenance once I re-deed it. Ridiculous system in place right now. Very disappointed about this. These kinds of things should have been worked out in BETA.

This is a great patch. It will raise prices across the board and establish a price floor. It will be more than uneconomicalto sell below a certain price. It will be unsustainable. Thank you SWG Devs!

I agree something needed to be done - but this is too much. Powergamers or people with big supportive guilds will be fine. Solo architects are pretty much screwed. And unless the economy loosens up more - not many houses will be sold at all. I had many customers who struggled to pay the 15k for a house prior to this patch. Now houses will cost significantly more than that....

Then they weren't good customers. In all reality, if someone can't make 15k in about 3 hours, they're doing something wrong. Running delivery missions nets a sizable amount of cash. How are powergamers not screwed? What were they doing before? Macroharvesting, burn-harvesting, then dumping houses on the market at low, low prices just to get rid of them. Now, the playing field is more level. However, I agree that PA's will have an advantage. That's the power of organization. I recommend hooking up with a PA or finding yourself a merchant to represent you. Remember, real merchants don't just sell your stuff, they facilitate its creation.

I know im pretty screwed, and i dont have time to run around doing missions all the time.

I can only afford maybe 3-4 harvesters for 1 day now. thats if anyone will buy the stuff i put on the bazaar.

yep...I agree with this new patch. In fact there was no point really to not just kill the harvester and replant a new one after it got 50%. Now there is a reason to keep your equiptment up to standard and in good working order, which in my opinion is how it should be in the first place.

Good Patch

I agree there should be a reason to keep your equipment maintained - but that isn't what this patch did. This patch REQUIRES you to do so. I would happily take a severe hit in the efficiency of my harvesters if it meant I didn't have to spend hard earned credits to maintain them.

And in regards to the power gamer issue - you are right they are hurt by this, but not as much as non-power gamers. The old harvester system allowed casual players to be on even ground with power gamers. Now casual players are really going to struggle to maintain any kind of resource production.

Then don't sell to the bazaar. Make quality items, sell in person, and make credits. Or, make quality items, sell to a merchant who will sell for you, and make credits. Easy, eh? You can afford more harvesters than that... Just sell the resources.

Harvesters were never meant to be able to burn down and just build new ones. You are required to maintain your harvester the same way you are REQUIRED to maintain your house of factory. You dont just build a house, put your crafting stations and stuff in it, let it burn down, and rebuild do you? Or build a factory make a few items untill it burns to the ground and make a new one?

This is a good solution. Unless harvesters have a fail to sample % like players hand sampling does it's the only way to stop the burn and build. And if they did the %of failure would have to be huge at 75% inorder to convince players to pay thier harvesters.

I'm an independent Architect with 1 harvester offworld. I'n able to keep 7 harvesters up with a about 4-5 hours deliveries every 2 days if I'm not selling anything. I even sell building compenents on the bazar since I dont make Deeds untill someone places an order and only XP off the individual components.

I am at work at the moment, but this sounds like a good patch, I like the fact that we have to maintain the harvesters, this will make the price of homes go up, and give the small guys a chance to make it in the world.
