Your joking

Like I didn't have a hard enough time getting resources as it was...If they didn't want architects in the game why did they put them in?

Where are the patch notes located? Is it really too much to ask to have them on the launcher...guess so.

Why is this a nerf?

It means that it's more likely that those interested in the mining profession will concentrate on having surveying and running harvesters to supply you with the resources you need.

Thank god for finally fixing the disposable harvester.

Right and meantime I can't sell a house for 8k when resources cost me more than that to buy.

You're an architect and you're buying resources??? WHY?

I don't know if you noticed this... but along the way you gained the ability to create harvesters. These wonderful machines actually mine for resources for you!

You might want to try using those instead of paying other people to do what you're perfectly capable of yourself.

Every change in beta was the same way: administered with a sledgehammer when a small nudge is all that was needed.

I guess I'll just drop the whole "crafting" thing. I can make far more money running missions than I could hope to get crafting now.

/em watches the player-run economy go down the toilet, as there will soon be nothing left on the "supply" side of the equation.

Sir, it's quite possible that this game is not entirely stable.

"Not entirely stable." Well, I'm glad you're here to tell us these things. Chewie! Take the professor in the back and plug him into the patch server!

Since it's "cheaper" to build a new perosnallyharvester than to maintain it. Too many were willing to live with progressivly decaying performance(even paying the full energy requirement) and just let the harvester burn and replace it later.

Those **edit** smoking patch of burning harvester is a FPS killer

I'm not averse to change, not at all. But I have to agree with the earlier sledgehammer comment. This is the 7th MMORPG I've played and one thing I noticed a number of days ago was how the 'tweaks' around here seem to be polar shifts almost to the point of kneejerk reactions. For example it seems now that to complete a miner mission you must go offworld. Which subtracts at least 500 from the payout. This makes at least 1/3 of miner missions no longer worth taking. If you could take multiple missions from a given miner then it would be different, but of course you can't. So clearly that tweak destroyed viable gameplay.

At the risk of compounding kneejerk reactions I have to admit that to me it looks like SOE has declared open war on Architects for whatever reason. Maybe there are more of us than they expected. Maybe they feel we have it too easy and are socially engineering us into a harder existence (laughs). Or maybe these decisions are simply being made by developers who do not even play! That makes the most sense actually.

I don't believe in ultimatums as a way of solving problems. But in all honesty if SWG continues this trend of making rules that work against solo play then I will no longer have any desire to stick around. Not everyone is a group monkey. Frankly given that HOLO had a similar role at UOas he has here I'm a little surprised at some of thescrewy policies that have been put in place that effectively "punish" solo play. What's up with that??

Good deal if you cant sell a house for 8k maybe people will relize this was a crap price for a houses in the first place...I think this is double edged ..yes you have to pay to get your resources nowbut you wont have to sell your structures for almost nothing in the way of profit..

Architects need money too!!!
