Thread: Stop with the low price please
Ewoldar: Be smart. I give orders to all the architects who make crazy low priced stuff and then turn around and sell it for bit lower than "normal" price which still ends up being 25k more than what I bought it. *speaking of things like large house, heavy harvesters, etc.*
Since i am a master arch i dont get xp so it doesnt matter as long as I keep my store stocked and people can come there and find stuff to buy.
Be patient. The morons that can't figure out what their time is worth and how to properly price things don't last long.
Just stick to your guns, sell for a price you think is fair and you'll do just fine.
I sell almost everything for 5c per resource and have no shortage of business.
Don't fall for the, "but I've seen them for <insert ridiculous price here>" ploy. Just do what I do, tell them "Wow. Good price, I'd go buy that if I were you, thanks for asking though". They will most often come back with, "When can I have it by?".
If people can't accept your pricing then let them go find better. There is PLENTY of business out there and the sooner you quit worrying about what other people are charging the sooner you'll be confident in your pricing and the more money you'll make.
Remember, you DO NOT have to make a sale to every person you talk to. Be friendly and enjoy the game and you'll have more business than you can handle. The morons price themselves right out of existance, no sense worrying about them.
Umm, check your memory of economics.
Supply and demand curves only match when there is a changing supply and demand. When the two variables are independent and both moving.
We actually have a system that is going to be WAY off balance economically.
Infinite supply. In the real world you can only make so many coke cans for the amount of money you put in before you run out of coke and cans. In SWG you can make as many coke cans as you can sample cans and coke. With no money what so ever and generally almost twice as fast as you actually need overall.
Constant demand. And I mean the mathemetical definition. There is a LIMIT as to how much we will have in demand.Except for a trickle of new players, (remember most new players will go to new servers) once everyone has their own dream house there will no longer be a demand for that house.
In the real world a can of coke is consumed. The can is destroyed and the coke is consumed. The demand curve is repleneshed and hence still moveing. In SWG the can of coke lasts a life time and the only reason to return to your distributer is to get a bigger can and even then, there is only big bigger and biggest (except case
) before you have bought all the cans of coke you will ever need.
So once that limit is reached the value of the house deed is going to drop through the floor as no one is going to need them except the real new comers who arent going to have any money anyway and will probably be able to buy the leftovers or previous owner's very cheaply.
This is not a standard supply and demand curve.
Not until they implement some sort of building decay.
I'm just glad someone put up a post about the pricing issue. It's important, and I NEVER see any posts about it on this board, ever... ever.
*shakes her head*
