It seems to work on houses, just not on factories and harvesters.

Hmm. I think there was a bug that would let someone who was admin but not owner for a condemned structure use the /pay command and uncondemn the structure. Wonder if this has anything to do with that. They might have fixed that bug and broken /pay in general or intentionally turned off /pay just to stop that bug temporarily. Or maybe I'm confused about the condemned thing in the first place, but I think I remember seeing that work.

For harvesters, at least, if you are on the admin list you can use the radial menu on condemed harvestersto pay maintenance or use the /paym command.

I doubt it is/was a 'bug' per se since you have access via the radial menu to the same functionality and I'm willing to bet it's just an oops by the devs.

I've done some more testing on this issue and here's the bug report I just submitted:

In addition to the /pay command, I'm having spotty results with the /structurestatus command.

It did not work in a medium Corellian house.

It did come up via the radial menu.
With the window up, I used the /struc command again and it just closed the window.

I tried it in a Corellian guild hall next door and had no problems.
Then I ran back to the original medium house and it worked on the first try.

Now while running around to various buildings testing things, I got something else that's interesting...

I dismounted (via double-click) and ran into a medium generic house.

As soon as I crossed the threshhold, I clicked the button that fires off my /structurestatus macro.

The box that popped up said this:

Owner: elyssa

This structure is private

Condition: 84% (0 credits to repair.)

Maintenance Pool: 0

Maintenance Rate: 0 cr/hr

Now the really odd things about this are:

1) I don't own it

2) I paid at least 10k maintenance on it within the last week.

I thought maybe I was lagged and it hadn't updated the house data yet, but then I looked closer and saw this at the very top:

Structure Name: BARC Speeder

Since I had double-clicked to dismount, my vehicle was still selected and I have been able to call up the status window for it repeatedly.

If Iuntarget the BARC, I get the status of the house. If I target it again, I get the BARC status.

Just to test a theory, I targeted someone else's mineral harvester 36m away while still standing indoors.

Typing /struc gives me nothing.

Untargeting lets me see the house status again.

If I target an item in the house, I no longer get a structure status window until I untarget.

Using /struc on my BARC while outdoors works as well.

Whatever is happening is locking the /structurestatus command to your target rather than the structure you're in.

I was still able to /pay on the house while I had an object inside the house targeted, but if I put the target on my BARC (while still indoors), the /pay command wouldn't work.

More harvester test results:

Using /structurestatus

BARC targeted: BARC status

Harvester targeted: Harvester Status

Nothing targeted: Harvester Status

Using /pay 1

BARC targeted: Nothing

Harvester targeted: Nothing

Nothing targeted: 1cr paid to harvester maintenance pool

Much like the /struc command, the /pay command is relying on the target.
Normally you would pay on the harvester you were within range of whether it was targeted or not.

Now you only seem to pay on it if you DO NOT have it targeted.

Structure factorytest results (standing at the "door" area):

Using /structurestatus

BARC targeted: BARC status

Factorytargeted:Factory Status

Nothing targeted: Status of a nearby equipment factory.

Using /pay 1

BARC targeted: Nothing

Factorytargeted: Nothing

Nothing targeted: 1cr paid to nearby equipment factory

Now the same test at that equipment factory:

Using /structurestatus

BARC targeted: BARC status

Factorytargeted:Factory Status

Nothing targeted: Factory Status

Using /pay 1

BARC targeted: Nothing

Factorytargeted: Nothing

Nothing targeted: 1cr paid to (proper) factory

Just for fun, I went back to the equipment factory and tried /addpower 1 (I did not go back to the harvesters)

BARC targeted: Added 1 power to nearby equipment factory

Factory targeted: Added 1 power to proper factory

Nothing targeted: Added 1 power to nearby equipment factory.

This gets me to thinking that maybe what I was seeing at the harvesters might not have been correct.

Since they all have the same name, I don't know for 100% certain that I was seeing the proper harvester update each time and, quite honestly, I don't feel like driving all the way back over there to test again.

To add to your observations, for a couple of weeks now I have tried using the /transferstructure command at a few factories I own, looking to juggle the lots between my characters a little better since I went from playing four accounts to a paltry three.

With my factories in a clump of four and two of my characters at the factory in question, I would be standing right at the factory with my receiving character targeted and would get the message that I was too far from the factory to effect the transferstructure. It sounds a bit like the faulty targeting issue you are describing above. However, this has been happening since patch 20 as far as I have noticed and is not strictly a patch 21 issue.

If this is a attempt by SOE to crack Down on Lot swappers, then its foolish. Admins should have the right to pay on factories and Harvestors regardless if they are Owner or not. People go away on vaction for weeks at a time. There friends should have the oppurtunity to monitor guildmates harvestors with Admin control.

If SOE takes this away it will just create hundreds of more burning harvestors taking up more land. Also when tthe swap lotter cant get into the harvs anymore cus he let the maintence run out for a few days then he will just look to swap more Lots with another server. Now you have a bunch of Lots burning and a bunch more dropped down to take more real estate.

Servers will become Harvestor Eye Sores sitting therer condemend for Who know ow long..I have been watching farms burn for 6 months now amd not go Poof.

Return the /pay function. Archis cant do buisness without swap lotters. I would have 4 lots available (after guild lots 5) to drop harvestors and 1 factory. ARE YOU FRIGGIN KIDDING ME SOE...I would have to sell harvestors at a ridiculous price because it would be to much trouble to try to be a archi on 10 lots..my guild house alone takes 5.

Fix the pay...leave it how it was SOE

Of course we can. Myself and many others operate fine without lot swaps.

I'm the owner of my structures and /pay isn't working.

SOE has never said anything about the /pay command being limited to owners.

Keep in mind that CSR's don't necessarily know all the ins and outs of how the game works.
As far as they're concerned, most likely this is working as intended because it's what the developers implemented. Once the devs fix it, then the new way will be working as intended.

It's pretty obviously a bug since it's nothing more than an inconvenience.
The people that can fix it have been made aware of it.
Nothing to do now but sit and wait for a fix.
