Well I made the huge mistake of thinking I could keep Master Architect and do the FS crafting quests. Well after starting the village quests and doing the first crafting quests I was lookign forward to continueing the crafting quests in the hope they would be fun .. that is untill I converted my Structure XP into FS crafting XP. For us architects the conversion rate is 1:35!!! I decided to crunch some number to see exactly what it would take to do at least one full crafting block in the FS crafting tree.

First off What FS xp is needed :

50k FS crafting XP (noveice crafting ( I will even exclude this box as you only need to achive it once)

175k FS crafting XP for level 1 skills

250k FS crafting XP for level2 skills

350k FS crafting XP for level3 skills

450k FS crafting XP for level4 skills

totaling 1.225 million FS crafting XP needed for a single branch

Introduce the conversion rate of 1 :35

For 1.225 million fs xp you would need 42.875 million architect xp for a single branch

The grind

For grinding ofcourse the best thing we have is Gungan Heads at about 5k xp each ( I belive 5250 if in practice mode)

423875 million Arch XP needed / 5k per gungan head == 8,575 Gungan heads total to craft

8,575 heads * 1k Gemestone == 8,575,000 units of geme stone

8,575 heads * 2k low grade ore == 17,150,000 units of low grade ore

8.575 million +17.150 million == 25,725,000 units of resources

chargeing @ 3 cpu (rough server cost / Ive seen for cheaper and more expensive) ====== 77,175,000 credits worth of resources !!!!!!!!!

Can anyone tell me how this system is at all fair to us architects / crafters when combat roles can have almost no overhead and grind there

FS xp very quickly and make millions in the proccess?

I have 3 toons now (2 accounts w/1 jedi), My now jedi hav capped out unarmed xp, two handed xp, and combat xp... not to mention all the xp from the 31 classes I ground out... after turning in all that I was still 53k short of one of the first row boxes.... I didn't need to do this but I was really curious. point is, combat classes don't have it made. However your right architects get somewhat hosed becasue of our conversion rate. But the problem is you over looking a simple solution... Make more things by hand, make less factory runs for houses and harvesters. This will allow you to make millions of your grind. And remember you can only unlock 1 tree every 3 weeks....

I actually also have Master TKM to backup Arch for credit reasons. Just grinding missions for money so I can buy resources I have enough stocked up XP to master atleast a full branch of FS combat branch and then some , yet in teh same time frame Ive spent about 5 million credits on resources (not includeing what I already have) and Im barely past novice?? As for just maeking things to sell , it appears as my servers Arch neeeds are all but nonexistant. Hence the reason for me drpoing merchant and takeing TKM for credits.

Get 5 content badges (corvett, theme park, warren), get the 3 jedi POI badges (ben's house, ruined temple, exar khun temple), get 10 more poi badges, type /che... should say you glow with the force

Wait for 'an old man' to visit you, he gives you a crystal, shortly there after 2 sith attack kill them get data disc, give wp to a camp, kill the guys there get another disc, give wp to village on Dath... go there and talk to the village elder and do the crafting quest, unlock i force sensitive row... talk to the guy near the elder (not the captian, the other guy).... trade in any xp you have for force sensitive xp... train from noldan to get FS boxes... wait 3 weeks to do another quest and open another box...

WARNING... YOU CAN ONLY OPEN 1 ROW PER 3 WEEK CYCLE SO CHHOSE WISELY

Hope this helps

I don't wanna be a Jedi, but I would love to have all those FS crafting skills.

Oh, and the 2nd character slot.

Well to get the FS slot you have to unlock 24 blocks and then go threw the padawan trials. Just a little to much grinding I guess. I guess it just takes time for it to happen.

I suppose I could go back to making walls by hand.

I'd need them all eventually anyway.

Yeah in order to get your second slot you havbe to

1) unlock all 6 trees

2) kill 2 50k ham, med armor, 80% res mobs (one has a LS), and you'll need to take out the 4 power crystals

as well to keep them from healing themselves.

3) run 16 padawan trials (3 of which require you to kill 20 sludge panthers/ baz nitches/ faulumpusets

after that you'll get your second character slot...

I have hopes that at some point in the future when I'm actually ready to try the whole FS thing that the devs will have come to their senses (it could happen) and make the requirements a little more realistic for those of us without combat ability.

Do what I have done. I got a music instrument spent the points to get all 4 music (not 4 branches... ignore everything but music). You get 1:10 on music and I get 50-100k music xp for going idle before bed. If I really needed a grind I could just do it before bed and before work. Probabally get 100-200k a day. Which is cheep, easy, not that hard, and saves you the 80million.

The conversion rates for architects are mind boggling. Just take a moment to consider what it'll take to even get those 25,725,000 resources tofinish one branch in three weeks:

BER 13 mineral harvester on ore (60% concentration) = 11232 units per day = 235,872 unitspercycle

BER 13 mineral harvester ongemstone (90% concentration) = 16848 units per day = 353,808 units per cycle

8,575,000 units of gemstonein a cycle = 24.2 BER 13 gemstone harvesters

17,150,000 units of ore in a cycle = 72.7 BER 13 ore harvesters

Since you can't have half a harvester, round both these up and you find that you need 25 gemstone harvesters and 73 ore harvesters on good concentrations too not just static harvester farms to master one branch per cycle with architect. Last time I looked I only got 10 lot spaces. If I mined with 10 lots instead of 98 lots it'd take 9.8 times as long, or 176.4 days per branch.
