If thisis true, it goes to show you how unorganized SOE is!!! It is also yetanother slap in the face to fans if they firedTiggs and did not let our community know. I believe Tiggs loved SWGfor allit was and all it could be, but in my opinon i believe SOE kept her hands tied behind her back. To everyone who gets on here and cries Tiggs this and Tiggs that, you really have no clue what goes on behind SOE's doors! No one should judge anyonelse based upon second hand information. Do you wake up every morning and drive into work for SOE? No you do not, so how do you have any clue what goes on there? Why do you think you know all and have the nerve tomake comments about how someone like Tiggsdoes (or did)her job when you dont have all the facts!??I'll tell you, there are two factors that are ruining this game and Soe was responsible for 100 percent of them at first, but now some of the players who like to point fingers andflame in the forums all the timejust made it 50/50. Great job guys, any leg you had to stand on you just chopped off and threw to the rancors. No newb Dev is gonna come in replace Tiggsand be the chosen one for SWG!!!! I hope i'm prooven wrong though!!! I would like to Thank Tigg's for all her hard work! To everyone saying they are happy about this, it is ashame cus honestly many of us would rather have you leave our community then Tiggs! To SOE way to take the most exciting online game in the history of the internet and throw it all away! I will still play for the fact that i love Star Wars, and want to see if i like the NGE or **edit** u call it (SWG 2), but will continue checking the forums everyday in hopes of news that there will be a class action law suite.Not only have you gone from turning your back on your player base, but now your own employee's. Times must really be getting hard for the Swg divison of Soe to make moves like this ifthis is at all true.This is no longer the game we all knew and loved, it's a new game and just like every new game it will either be a hit or flop. If you ask me it will be a big risk for Soe to take. I'm a vet in game, but not to the forums and alls i can say is that i'm giving the NEG a try for a month, but will have no hard feelings about ending my subscription if i do not like it. In all honesty i hope i do like it though! Although chances are i wont since i admired the original game for its uniqueness, something that might now be a blue glowie for us all.

This may sound completely foolish to some, but with rent being due and having kids of her own.. is there anyway to make some sort of contribution to Tiggs?? She was used as a scapegoat and then cut loose.... this close to the holidays is a complete joke 
Truly though, does anyone know of anyway whoever wanted could make some type of financial contribution? I know most of the summit members kept in close touch of each other so if anyone would know, it would be they.

When I read the Farewell Tiggs post on Dev Tracker, I felt a shock like when you read someone has died. Don't get me wrong, I don't know herat all to feel shock at her loss as like a close friend, but it was as a customer losing their trusted information source anchor. I've been following her posts religiously since NGE was announced, and had just resubbed last night so I could get some questions out there.
First thing I thought about, was what is going on with this game?!? It shook my faith in this new NGE venture a lot, because I have to question whetherSOE management gave any thought at all to the impact this would have on their current customers and returning customers who've been following these boards trying to weigh their decisions. For many, this is a last chance, for some a no-more-chance, andtheir timingis just horrible. She HAD people turning around about these changes... is SOE trying to sabotage the success of SWG?
Anyway, I know that CustRelations is a difficult and thankless job. Being able to turning the othercheek to abuse from attackers without faces, protected in their dark little rooms by a closed door,feeling all brave tapping on their keyboard without worry of a knock on the door, is almost beyond my comprehension. I mean come on, the first thing most of us would pray for is the ability to knock on some little monkey's door and say "HI!! You wanted to say... what...to me??"
She did a good job, IMO. She got information out there as she was allowed, even some she probably wasn't exactly allowed, and she had a lot of passion for the game, and has my admiration inthat she was able to take theabuse that a lot of these I-anon monkeys tossed at her.
Even though we'll never know the real drama behind her firing, I do think it was a boneheaded move for SOE to fire her at this point in time. My trust in them did drop a LOT in knowing they fired a key person so close to a deadline, especially one that deals with customers and they are trusting customers to help them playtest a major change to their product.
My guess is that it has something to do with her comments on World of Warcraft, because I had to raise an eyebrow at her posting any personal commentsabout a competing title on her employer's website. But even still, I don't see how that would be grounds for firing anyone, slap on wrist yea, but not firing someone. SOE is corporate, not some small company, so I can't imagine that the reason for firing is trivial and without papertrail to cover their decisions.
EQ2 lost Faarwolf, and SWGtossed outTiggs. Makes you wonder about theirseriousness of "listening to their players", as you read so much in those Producer'sLetters. Shame.
Good luck to you Tiggs, you did a great job in my books. Someone else will be more thanecstatic to pick you up, I heard Codemasters was looking for some more CR folks.

The awful thing is that not 4 hours before I heard this I was thinking, 'of all the people they couldn't possibly get rid of Tiggs. There's someone who's job is secure: she has the backing of the people. It would be madness if that happened' That'll teach me to think

Yep, just like the correspondents take all the heat for alot of things that they also disagree with in the first place, or a mod who laughs there A$$ off at a post, but still has to delete it.
Tiggs in case you read this. I ripped you bad one night after the first CU, on a since cancelled alt. I was po'd, and had to yell, and you were the highest SOE person who i thought might read it, so away i went. Sure you dont remember every specific time you got attacked, but just wanted to say I apologize anyway. Good luck and hope you find a more peacefull place towork cuz god knows this place is usually anything but.

/NINJARUDE to SOE, to Julio Torres, and to Brenlo.
I have had my run ins with Tiggs in the past, but I tell you, my feelings about her changed 180 during the Publish 22 XP nerf fiasco. She went in there with a notebook and our comments and got that change YANKED.
She knows the community better than anyone because she actually got down and dirty with us here, every day, sometimes half the night, when the OTHER red names were long gone. It's my guess that she basically told the producers, Julio Torres, Dallas Dickinson and Grant McDaniel that they were going to lose the playerbase over the NGE. She may have told them that as a player herself SHE didn't like them.
Or they may have just decided to make HER the scapegoat for THEIR lies, deception, and downright unethical behavior concerning the NGE. Corporations rot from the head just like a fish, but when they start to die, the rotting head always seeks to save itself by killing the healthy parts.
Tiggs, if you ever read this, buck up. BETTER things are coming for you.
I, too worked until very recently for a horrible and doomed company, where I constantly had to put up with crap from clueless idiot managers who were unqualified for their jobs, much less meddling in mine. I gave them 5 very good and productive years, only to get fired so that someone with 1 month of IT experience who made $5/hr less than me could take my job.
Well, if you believe in karma, or at least in "what goes around comes around", sometimes it DOES. In my case, the gamble my ex employer took was keeping my friend and assistant, who was less exerienced, but very talented, and who also made slightly less than I did.
I was fired on Friday, Oct 14. My friend got a great job offer that day and turned in his notice that Monday.
10 AM on Monday, the first work day after I was fired, the weasel owner of the crap company OFFERED ME MY JOB BACK. Which took brass ones.
I declined. You see, that very day *I* got an offer of significantly more money (and helluva better working conditions) than the IT sweatshop was paying me, and I basically told them where they could go
A month after being fired (for the first time ever in over 12 years of working in IT), I am working for a great company, for my old boss (he was our former IT manager, left the company a year earlier) and friend, and I am a lot happier and less stressed over it. My scumbag ex employer? They have FOR SALE signs outside their building. They will likely shut down before SWG does (not too much sooner lol).
Tiggs, a BETTER job offer is in your future. Anyone who can put up with what you put up with with the CLASS AND DIGNITY you had is gold, and a wise company WILL hire you. I guarantee it. Just stay positive.
Oh, and SOE, this one tipped the balance for me. I've STILL been trying to make myself like (or at least tolerate) the NGE. No more. Cancel Account x4. I will NOT be doing business with Sony, home of congenital liars, home of scumbags who will put ROOTKITS on music CD's, EVER again. I wouldn't buy a pack of batteries from you.
