Thread: Dear SOE, You Can Keep Your Revamp Thank You, We Don't Want It!
We've taken so many hits I'm surprised we're still standing taunting them. "Is that all ya got? Give me something better."
They have no intention of fixing this game. They are wholly content in dumbing this game down and putting it into the ground as far as they can. Most likely they're hoping they can bury it so far under that LA would hesitate to give another company a shot at creating a Star Wars MMORPG that would be great.
Conspiracy theory or merely a fact not yet revealed?

Please read the history of smugglers in SWG here

Why does this thread not surprise me.
Now that you get the attention you were so jealous of in others, you whine about that too. NOW you know what it feels like to be on the recieveing end of the devs "attention". Makes the whole "oh looky, the jebai and BH's and CM's and pilots and...get all the attention. They detract fromdev-time better spent on us", seem kind of ironic, wouldn't you say?
Lesson learned (hopefully): Be carefull with what you wish for. You might just get it.
And guys? You got it!
Can you say sm(uggler)erfed?

I had to read this over again because what I read the first time was complete garbage and sadly the same message is present the second time I went over it.
Where did you get the idea that we were jealous. It was suggested that you read the history of smugglers. While good I would suggest you actually read the smuggler forums going back as far as you can.
Two years. Repeat that to yourself. Two years, we've waited...patiently. If you look through the threads in this forum you will see how patient we've been. I even lost count of how many documents we came up with and you have the audacity to call us jealous?
No other profession or group has had to wait as long as we have to get anything so that we can operate like our namesake says we should.
Every other profession in this game has worked, in one way or another, the way they were supposed to. We have never smuggled. We've done jobs that any one of the other professions could have been designated to do by the developers. We have not one single smuggler item in our whole tree that creates that immersive underworld portion of our game that we're supposed to have.
So you can call yourself a smuggler all you want, but your smuggler card has been revoked until the day you change your attitude about how we're taking the neglect of our profession.
Good day.

Reading through the history of Smuggler was an appauling & disgusting read, as far as this game goes. It would be one thing if SOE never opened their mouth about any changes & then none ever cme. Its worse that there has been 2 years of misleading & misrepresenting smuggling without any apparent recognition that the way they are handling this is horsecrap.
Totally agree. Throughout my years I've been many of the non-crafting professions. Smuggler is however one I particularly didn't even bother to try mastering, because it wasn't worth it.
The devs are simply idiots. There are great ideas here. I can spend 5 minutes going through this forum and get ideas that could make SOE millions. SOE somehow, it so lazy, and so set on creating more borked j3d1 gameplay that they simply can't do anything else. I'm extremely disappointed in SOE and in LA for letting it get this bad.
It's this simple. I imagine the ruckus Bounty Hunters would raise if they could not hunt bounties. Imagine if you will they had waited two years to hunt bounties and then they were told that their BH missions would consist of goring to one WP and being told to go kill a mark at another WP. No droid racting, not planet hoping. That was to be their BH missions.
Would they, do you think, be happy about it.![]()

No, honestly we wouldn't.
I just wanted to pop in here and let you know, that (and I think I can speak for most BH's on this one thing) we're on your side.
Some of the stuff Green marine promised waaaaay back was awesome. Sidekicks and the potential for Player Bounties, it was great stuff. We WANT you to get that stuff... well, at least I want you to.
I can only imagine chasing you're wiley butts all over the galaxy only to get you cornered in a cantina and open fire - rigth about the time I realize your sidekick is rushing up behind me!
/sigh... wow, I gave myself a rush just thinking about it. then reality set back in. =\
We're pulling for you guys. We really, really are.
