I've been in the Air Force over 12 years and lived state side and abroad. I play daily from Osan AB, Republic of Korea (South) and currently on leave in Indiana. On my way home I've played on the plane, so I played while over the Sea of Japan. Places I've played: Sacramento California, Marysville California, Hammond Indiana, SEATAC airport, Denver Airport, Osan AB ROK, a Nebraska hotel, Charleston South Carolina, Sumter SouthCarolina, San Angelo and I am sure there are a few hotels across the United States I am missing. I do a lot of travel due to being in the Air Force and traveling on leave, etc. Sure that is all I played

Although Govn't material is frowned uponI still abuse it... My job"forces" me to play with cool toys such a portable satelitte uplinks. For the fun of if after testing serious stuff for a new sat provider, I hooked up my laptop to the router and launched the game for about 15 minutes. Nothing eventfull during that time other than the fact I was about500 miles from any living person (company excluded) and probably 2000 mile from the first internet access point.

My unit was in Long Beach, Alabama for a few weeks, cleaning up. Man, what a mess! That place needs more than prayers, and they're not getting anywhere near the relief help new orleans is getting. Logged in outside a firestation in a huge tent they set up for us to sleep in, again using mycell phone

Currently I'm stationed in Baghdad, Iraq and for two days, I was able to play SWG on my laptop that I was able to hook up to the net and that was like a week ago! But on the third day that I was going to play, my laptop died. LOL! But no matter, I'm outta here in 3 weeks! I've got my desktop at home waiting to come outta storage! n_n

I log in from my basement. it's a pretty odd place.

PS: how about we stop wondering where people log in from, and start fixing some bugs ? A little work wouldn't hurt now, would it ?

SOE/LA marketing slogan for SWG:
Only $15 a month for the game!
Why?
Because each month it's a different game.
Think of it as a Mario Party Massively Multiplayer Online First Person Role Playing Strategy Action Adventure Turn-Based type game.

Yeah, the lag was horrible and it took me freaking 7 hours to load patchs 9-23 because my laptop was brand new and didn't have the files. ButI still managed to have fun the two days I was able to play! I couldn't believe how much the game changed! That was the first time I was able to play since last november...almost a year ago!

As a frequent traveler with my job, I've played SWG all over the USA and Canada. I play it in Hotels, Airports, The Crowne Room, lobbies you name it. I've probably played SWG in every major city in the USA over the past 2 years. 135,000 miles this year alone and SWG has been with me every mile. Love my laptop and love SWG! What the heck am I doing in the forums? There is a new expansion today!

I log in from my mom's basement. She brings me celery with peanut butter in the middle when i want it. And my bed is right next to my computer, so I never ever have to leave. Celery with peanut butter, bed, and a computer. What more could you ask for gee golly!

It depends entirely on the boat you go to. There is no internet access under the water, or really any communication of any kind, so submarinerswont be logging on. Surface ships, however, can have internet access, and several even have wireless networks. However, it's up to the policy on the ship as to whether personal computers can use that internet or if you have to use one of the computers provided, and these you usually aren't alowed to install anything on. In the case that personal computers are allowed, they are screened before being allowed on the ship to ensure they are safe and compatible. In my case, though, I bypassed all that using a cell phone plugged into my laptop, when we were allowed

If you are speaking of a US Navy ship then not true. You are not allowed in any circumstance to hook a personal computer up to the ships network. The ships policy can only say whether or not you are allowed to have a personal computer on board, but can not allow you to hook it to the shipboard lan. I myself have logged in from 9 different states in the US and almost every country in southeast asia.
