I have, for some time, thought that such a system could lend itself easily to the inclusion of a (voluntary) player bounty system,offering smugglers a sense of real risk and b/h's a sense of being something more than Jedi watchdogs... but that's a discussion for a different topic... so I'll shut up and just say:

I expect to be banned soon because they're probably figuring that's the only way to silence me, but I wanted to share with you an excerpt from my rant in the Core Systems forum:

The fact is that this is just one more symptom of how little SOE cares about this game being Star Wars. I'm tired of caring so much about it and having them treat it like it means nothing. All this game is to them is another game....

I'm tired of SOE treating something that should be the most amazing game ever with such casual contempt. This is an icon from my childhood, and I'm tired of feeling negative about Star Wars itself because of the way SOE treats us as customers. Instead of giving us the response we deserve about why they picked this most important position so quickly, they're giving us the silent treatment yet again. I'm sick of it.

I'm sick of the lack of communication in general. I'm sick of the fact that Tiggs can say something like we're not going to be working on the Smuggler revamp or any new content in the interest of working on fixes and then two weeks later a new expansion is announced. They say that the bug team and the creation team are separate - if that's the case then why have there been no new fix patches in a month and a half? Because the line that the bug team and creation team are separate from each other is a total lie. Everything they tell us is a lie.

Smuggler is an icon of Star Wars en par with Jedi and Bounty Hunter and has been treated like crap and failed by LucasArts permission and/or SOE devotion for over 2 years now. The excuse that it neededJtL to be treated accurately has been proven to be false because they have done crap with that and have had over a year to do something about it. The new excuse is that everyone has a chance for equal treatment. That's utter BS.

Everything iconic about Star Wars has been treated with contempt by SOE because they don't give a crap about Star Wars. The way Jedi has been implemented in the game, the way Bounty Hunters have been turned into a joke, the way the Galactic Civil War has been relegated to a pathetic sidetrack, and the way Smuggler has been completely ignored except for how it services other professions instead of having its own sovereign dignity and class.

SOE doesn't give a crap about Star Wars. Theytreat this as anEverquest with a Star Wars skin & don't care about the fact that it's a major icon of American culture for the last thirty years. I'm sure you are both great people, Tiggs and Thunderheart, sweet, kind, and helpful - but this game obviously is nothing special to you by the way you treat us who give so much of our heart, time and money to getting the chance to play in the fantasy world we've loved since childhood.

Thanks for bringing this"back to the front" for us all Wes! It is good to refocus our community's efforts in the Forums, which have become somewhat convoluted in the last couple months. Let's hope we can get SOE's focus back on it too!

Come off it...smuggling was meant to be a space based proffesion!

Let ususe our own ships to smuggle! How can you expect me to sneak my contraband spice through galaxy using public transport?

And somecontent that allow us to sneak/worm/ SMUGGLE our way out of situations!
