Thread: FROWNY FACE (BAD NEWS RE: PLAYER BOUNTIES)
any way, Tiggs put up an FAQ, and there are NO player bounties. Only NPC. No jedi, no smuggler no nothing.
I was thinking now that everyone's going to be on an equal footing, that EVERYone, at least every COMBAT class, should be subject to bounties.
Wes, think you and the BH corr could work together and lobby, and organize?

Yes, I agree wholeheartedly.
If it is a true opt in system, then there should be no problem with it. The people who don't want it can stay out of it.
It's called opt in quests and missions.
He's not talking about forcing someone to PvP, he's talking about letting those of us who want to take the risk of getting hunted by taking on tough quests get that option.
I don't think anyone would argue that forced PvP should ever be an option... but there really needs to be an opt in system.
They want it to feel like Star Wars, they should take this step.

What about those of us that don't want forced bounties? You could force it upon Jedi because it was special. There is no way you can force PvP on anyone.
But what about those of us that do? Not really fair to us either, now is it? I hate that lame carebear argument, that it's not fair to them. Well lawdy lawdy why don't I mosey on to the back of the bus, because it wouldn't be faaaaiiirrrr for you to sit back there.

I'm just worried about the jedi problem...it sounds like there will be even more of an infestaion then there is now. i take it we're changing the time line yet again.
Don't bet on it.
If Jedi are a normal level profession, then their power is gone, and therefore so is their attraction to powergamers.
What we have the potential of seeing now is content attracted players becoming Jedi.
I'm not guranteeing this mind you... but I do think this could go a long way to eliminating the problem that comes with Jedi.

Why should what you want govern how I play? If you want to PvP, go overt. Or find some other kind of opt-in system. I ain't a carebear, but I will not play if i need to watch my back every second of the game. To me, that's not fun.

What he said, why be a jedi if it is no longer your playstyle? No more uber class. And it seemed, at least to me, there will be profession specific quests or something along those lines for everyone.
