I've bugged this already, but thought I'd post it here as well...

Wookiees are unable to use light grenades, such as the C12, due to their "Light Fragmentation Grenade Certification" being bugged. On a Wookiee's skill screen this certification appears horribly misspelled:

"Cert grenade fragmentation lightagmentation light"

And when a Wookiee examines a C12 grenade, it says "Certified: No".

In testing this, I found that this was the case for all the Wookiees I created, regardless of gender, starting profession and whether or not you go through the tutorial.

All other races seem fine; their cert is spelled correctly: "Light Fragmentation Grenade Certification" and when they examine a C12 grenade, it says "Certified: Yes".

Perhaps I'm mistaken, but don't you have to be a commando to use grenades? You say:

This makes me think you expect a novice marksman or whatever else to be able to use grenades, which I do not believe is the case. Please give more info on what skills you have.

Host3h, EVERYONE has "Light Fragmentation Grenade Certification" when they start, regardless of their profession.... this is the cert that allows me, or anyone else to use the basic C12 Fragmentation Grenade... the problem here is that, for Wookiees, their certification is misspelled.


Let me make it as clear as can be:

Me, Zabrak, Weaponsmith, no commando skills whatsoever:
When I examine a C12 grenade it says "Certified: Yes"
When I throw a (well crafted)C12 grenade I do upwards of 1000 dmg.
When I hit CTRL-S and scroll down through my list of Weapon Certifications I have "Light Fragmentation Grenade Certification"


Thumes, Wookiee(or ANY other Wookiee):
When he examines a C12 grenade it says "Certified: No"
When he throws a (well crafted) C12 grenade he does between 1 and 10 dmg.
When he hits CTRL-S and scrolls down through his list of Weapon Certifications he has "Cert grenade fragmentation lightagmentation light" You do see the horribly mangled misspelling here, right?

ANY newly created character, fresh off the shuttle, EXCEPT Wookiees:
When he examines a C12 grenade it says "Certified: Yes"
When he throws a (well crafted) C12 grenade he does upwards of 1000 dmg.
When he hits CTRL-S and scrolls down through his list of Weapon Certifications he has "Light Fragmentation Grenade Certification"

I created new characters of every race, the wookiees all had "Cert grenade fragmentation lightagmentation light" whereas everyone else had "Light Fragmentation Grenade Certification".


Bottom line: Everyone can use C12 grenades, except Wookiees due to ther certification being bugged.
We need the poor Wookiees fixed

At last! an answer!! i have a ticket on for that problem, i'll add to it that it's a wookiee problem.

Seriously, why would you even post a reply when clearly you have no idea what you are talking about? Rather than getting all wrapped up in the excitement of seeing your post appear on the board, why not just log into the game, look at your weapons certs, see that you are certed without having to be commando, and then realize there's no need to post on a topic about which you know relatively nothing.
