Thread: Is there a price rise on Scythes and Geos? [Eclipse]

Due to the fix on genosian lab, we cant get enough loots. I just check some of the popular weapon vendors on eclipse, there is no scythes. Eclipseweaponsmiths keeps them for later sales?
What price will be good for ~2.6speed, ~330max speed scythes? Need some price check on eclipse.

Well scythes don't really have much todo with the geo labs (I looted 6 reinforcement core schems yestarday, so loot is still easy), but I still see them go for a LOT. The schems are kinda rare on WH these days, and unsliced scythes go for a mill+ usually.

The cubes are rarer
There was a good vendor that stocked nice sets of 7 but now nothing

i beg to differ. scythes prices are directly related to geo lab loot. since the spawns have been nerfed and less people camping the cave.. the cost to make scythes will dramatically increase sincegood geo cubes/agentswill go for a higher price since theres less on the market.

There are a couple things in play here. First is that without people overspawning the cave, it's much harder to get stacks of 7 cubes and agents at all...and you need 7 to make 2 scythes from one schem use. Then there's the issue that most people have already done the quest for the scythe schematic their 2 times, so they're going for 750k to 1 mil. If you can't get 7 matching cubes and agents or 6 good matching cores, you're stuck making two scythes per schematic, and that will also increase costs...
The above are reasons I'm starting to tell swordsmen to use 2 handed curved swords as much as possible, because the increasing costs associated with scythes does not make them very suited for grinding anymore. Save them for PvP or very high-end PvE, don't waste them on low level NS and jantas...
Heck, the executioner hacks are cheaper for me to make these days since there's no demand and the schematics aren't limited per player...

Oh, and the spawns haven't been nerfed...you just can't bug them to overspawn so you have mercs coming out of the woodwork...lol Ever see the screenies of like 20 mercs in the room at once with the floor completely covered? Yeah...not working as intended...

Yepp but due to the fix of the spawn rate the rare and good cube and Agent drop has been dramaticly decreased. They have to be in series of 3 minimum to be of any use in the scythe

geo fix = sucks. big-time.
Scythes are my favorite item to make, then geo-enhanced in general, as they offer the greatest artistic variability. I actually may not sell my great scythes now, because will be too difficult to replace. So glad I hoarded a tremendous amount of cubes/agents/cores
