hi guys
although its impossible to prove, i have experimented repairing many weapons with and without weapon repair CA's and im 95% sure that they DO make a difference
i repaired 50 items with and 50 items without the CA's (+12 Weapon repair in total) and got 2 complete failures and only 4 complete success without them and NO failures and 14 complete success with them.
All repairs where carried out on 2-handed curved swords, all where unsliced and PuPs where NOT used on them, all repairs where carried out when weapons where just below 50% condition. None of the weapons had been previously repaired.
All repairs where carried out near a crafting station (44.4) and using 99.8% repair tools
Repairs where carried out by MonCal Master weaponsmith with also +14 experiment points and +12 assembly points
Does anyone else have an opinion on this? do you think the CA's work, or this was just luck? and do you think weaponsmiths get an advantage to repair as well.

lol, What I want to know is, how long did it take you to beat the snot out of 100 2h Curveds without using P-Us?

My experiences would indicate that they work as well. There was a post sometime back by one of the Devs indicating that the mods did in fact work but the benefits were marginal. I have worked repair AND weapons repair tapes into my WS suit and I dont' think I have failed a single repair since I got them. I have +15 repair, and +17 weapons repair. The quality of the repair still appears to be fairly random but I no longer completely fail.

They lose condition faster if not certified, and I'm sure he had some help in doing so.

I would agree. I have done some testing, though I dont have the data for you. Something else I have noticed that does help with repairs if performing a repair near a station.

no he would be an 11 pt Weaponsmith if he had +14 exp points. for every 10 exp. skill mods you get 1 exp. in crafting.

i have been doing repairs for 6 months and didn't start repairing until after i had force repair. i have had 6 weapons completely fall apart, and i had a +12 weapon repair to go with the force repair mods, and was using 100% repair tools. the weapons were sliced, and one that fell apart was below 250 condition.
oh, that to me means that while they may be working, and even though it may be as intended, the failure rate is still too high, especially for having the force repair mods...
