i have an advanced laser rifle speed 2.5 dmg 1052 it's dps is 311. I just finished makeing another one speed 2.47 dmg 1081 dps 299. Now i thought the higher the dmg and lower the speed the higher the dps would be? If this is true how does the first gun have a higher dps?

You didn't post the min damages so It's not possible to calculate the DPS of these weapons.

Here's the formula though: ( (min + max) / 2 ) / speed

The min & max are minimum damage and maximum damage of the weapon.

dps = ((min dmg + max dmg) / 2 + elemental dmg ) / base weapon speed

ahi didn't think about min dmg that's probably what's making them different.
