For low level combat classes, there are two reasons why SAC is not critical:
1) Their player speed is low and therefore they cannot shoot fast enough to exhaust SAC
2) They don't have the high-SAC specials that more advanced classes have.
It is perfectly logical and reasonable for low level combat levels to look for DPS. Until the player's speed and/or specials cause SAC to be an issue, high DPS is the weapon of choice.
My observation is that around CL 30-35 is when SAC starts to become an issue. Even then, though, I think it is likely that SAC does not need to be capped on those weapons.

i wish more people realised this point. I have a friend of mine who i wanted to make a weapon for...sac capped and dmg capped, he said "nah i dont need a new one i have a 600 base dps weapon." The reason he had such a high dps weapon was because he had the ws max out speed, then he had it fully speed sliced and put a speed pup on it to reduce it to .90 speed....its a pity some people are too indignant to understand the speed caps in this game :smilesad:
and its even worse because he paid 10 mil for a 600 dps gun that has a max dmg of 798....f
There is another reason why someone could not care about sac
A commondo with a LBC...

elemental on it is 200 and min is 3??
Multiplier is broke and only works for weapon damge and not elemental.
So for these Commandos will get best dps speed pup... and then do ranged / placed all day
Why? when the specials donot give bonus to elemental... they become a waste to use when you consider sac.

600dps gun is not so hard to get with low sac and high dmg really
mine is dps 640 with 69 sac and 955 dmg dont know speed atm

yup. but ok here's the question i meant to ask. what is the lowest sac u have made on a speed capped dam capped (unsliced):
1. elite carb
2. alr
3. scatter
4. fw fwg5
5. e11 mark2
