Thread: Suggestions please: Let me know when you get xxx on your vendor...
Well now I've got a list of people who want to know when I get a baton over xxx. I've got 1, just 1. Do I tell them all, put it on the vendor and have a first come, first serve. Or I could auction or whatever.
I'm curious to know how others handle this.
All up to you actually. I havetwo lotteries each month- where I give the biggest vendor buyer a free weapon. I also do this for the largest buyer who is a guild leader or guild buyer (usually bulk sales). If I have some Hotty Thangs that may interest them, they get notified. Moral here is to give it to the best customer, since these are the ones you want to keep tripping into the store.
You ARE keeping track of sales ?? Heh heh.
When I used to sell sliced weapons, I would occasionally have customers ask me to let them know the next time I got a really good damage slice. I would politely tell them that I don't do that as a policy. Givenhow random slices are it just isn't practical to set aside the best ones for customer requests. Once word gets around that you do that, everyone will want you to save the 30+% slices for them, leaving only the junk slices to put on your vendor. Not to mention that you then have to take your time to meet them to make the trade or keep the weapons in your inventory until they get around to making a trip to your shop. It just isn't practical, imo.
If it were me, I'd just put the baton up on the vendor--first come, first served.
