i cant remember if this was available as a jabba reward, and what stats it has on it, was it a belt or apron, i only ask cuz i got a ca with +23 gm speed and +20 weap assembly, and i figured if i droppped it into one of these id save sockets

First, it's a toolset (bandolier) and only has a +3 to experimentation/assembly, it's not really worth the trouble to unequip your backpack to wear it.

Second, I don't think you would want to put a CA on an item with similar mods, the highest mod wins out so the mods on the toolset would likely be cancelled and the creds wasted (for the toolset).

Another thing to onsider is the fact that +23 general melee speed on a CA would sell for a LOT of credits. With those you could easily replace the +20 assembly and ahve quite a lot of credits left over

im doing it for the general melee speed, not the WS bit, i just figured the best way to maximise the tape is use a 4 socket weaponsmith bando, cuz then its the beginings of a nice jedi item, just the WS stuff is excess to requirements,

probably make it the best damn ws bando out there lol

not interested in the WS mods i dont think i made that clear enough in the first post, plus its not that hard to equip an item, just a simple mouse click! lol

First, just like someone said, it's a bandolier and it's a schematic (2 uses), not a complete item. You need to give it to a master tailor I believe (might be novice tailor) and have them craft it, then it becomes a bandolier with3 mods (+5 weapon experiementation, +3 weapon assembly and weapon repair)and3 free sockets. However, a problem that I've ran into lately is not having the cargo pockets (2 of them)to craft them. they take looted cargo pockets I believe and on my server, they don't seem to be dropping anymore. I've tried tailors crafted cargo pockets and they don't work. I've done server wide vendor searches with no luck for looted ones and I also spent about a week a while back searching each vendor I came across on every planet, still with no luck on looted cargo pockets. Since CU went live, I haven't looted one myself at all.

Now other servers may be different and might still have some looted ones around....but ahazi is dry on looted cargo pockets. I already have my bandolier made, but I have another one I want to make and sell, but don't have the cargo pockets.

As for using your CA, I'd say just use it on a regular item instead (maybe hat, boots or belt). First because it's easier, second because the weapon assembly mod won't disappear (which it will if you put it in something that already has the same mod) and lastly, weapon assembly isn't that great of a mod unless your either not a master weaponsmith or are using less than great quality resources. I have to say that with all the weapon assembly I have, when I get an amazing success on assembly, I get no bonus for it....all my stuff comes out the same as if I only got a great assembly. I believe that's because I used the best resources and it would take a 98% - 100% quality resource to beat what I have now for most of my resources. So from my experience, weapon assembly hasn't made a bit of a difference since I became a master WS and I don't even have FS crafting trees yet.

Last thing, if you plan to have that CA be useful for a jedi, then only the speed will do anything (once the weapon speed bug is fixed). Jedi don't use weapon assembly, they have thier own lightsaber assembly mod, so WS assembly is useless to them.

Sell the CA and use the cash, 50m+ I'd guess to buy lots more stuff.

Hmmm, i think you were under the impression that if the piece of clothing has a mod on it, it will cancel out the Wep assembly mod on the CA, leaving you with a WS bandolier, +23 GMS and 3 open slots?

I think the problem there is that both the mods will stick (20>3... unless that rule doesn't apply to items with built-in abilities), and since the WS toolkit only has 3 sockets, you'll end up with only one socket left open.

And as for equipping a bandoleer only taking a click...heh...must not be a crafter doing the clicking

I'm with the other guys...hat or gloves with 4 sockets are the way to go.
