Thread: My first bizzare /tell as a MWS
What about a crafting suit? Sounds like you're trying to rip him off!
Seriously though, that's a great story. My weaponsmith doesn't get out much so I rarely talk to anyone other than friends when I use him. But the other day I was coming back from Theed (I'd just gotten the crafting buff) and a guy asked me to do a custom order for him....a nice rifle. I asked him what kind of stats he wanted. He wasn't sure, but when I told him that I could go for a low (maybe capped) SAC and/or high max damage. He settled on an Adv Laser Rifle....SAC capped with Max Damage as close to the cap as possible. With a looted scope to keep the speed down, no less. So I told him it it would cost in the 4-6 million range (depending on the results of course) and that I could probably have it ready within 30 minutes. At that point it degenerated into the typical, "That's too much, I can get it cheaper somewhere else." arguement, though he did offer to trade me his Uber non-krayt/Power Cell-enhancedCarbine he'd been using before, along with 150k in cash. It was my first (and so far) only dealing with a complete moron as a WS. I saw him the next night (while I was on a different character) trying to buy some other player's full suit of armor for 150k....and an 'uber' carbine.
You know...what is it about weapons (and possibly armor) that brings out the worst in people? I've been crafting meds a LOT longer than I have weapons and I don't think I've ever had a potential customer make a compete fool of themselves (though when I was buffing the public in cnet long, long ago its a different story).

LMAO I know what you mean. I had some noob ask me if I was a WS, I told him yes. Then he proceeds to ask me if I can make him a set of RIS armor.
