I'm reading and hearing a number of you saying that Weaponsmith is not profitable. Weaponsmith business is in a sharp decline. Many of which had quit the game, because their business has fallen through.

Ya know what I say... BAH!

I like to think I sell my weapons relatively cheap. My T21's go for 20k, my Elite Carbines go for 10k, most of my Novice ranged weapons are 3k a peice. Just to lay out a picture. Well I am finding with so many weaponsmiths of corbantis quiting, my business is exploding. Thurday night was a half million credit night, Friday night was a 750k night. Heck, Wednesday night I made 3 million on fooling around with custom weapon orders. I don't rush out and buy that Copper that spawned 18 months ago with 900 conductivity 900 overall quality for 50 CPU either. I get by with what I've harvested since I started six months ago as a Weaponsmith. And maybe buy some nice stuff that shows itself for 5-10 CPU. I just would like to know what you guys that complain are doing wrong.

Log on to Corbantis sometime and check out my weapons then tell me what you think. How well would your shop hold up if you sold your weapons for my prices. The thing you guys gotta keep in mind, is with so many veteran players who bought weapons maybe once a week, you have to start paying attention to the new players rolling in now with the release of JTL. Some of these new guys are actually people returning to the game from a few months ago. Or even some of the inactive characters come back, see your prices that a n00b could afford and start buying lots of your stuff. Maybe even see the quality and say hey, can you make this with Krayt Tissue for me? Or how much would you charge to put together this DE-10 together, that I have the components for?

I have never had more fun with Weaponsmith, than I have in the past couple weeks. There is nothing like handing over a Laser Rifle to a new character in the game for say 8000 credits, and having them thank you for such wonderful service. Two weeks later they come back and buy your 50k Tenloss DXR-6 or maybe they decide some other profession would be more interesting, and pick up some grinding equipment for that. Lets not forget the fact that they start sending all their friends to you. I think its time for a whole new level of thinking for you guys. With so many old players going out, and fresh characters comming in, you maybe better off to think how you were about a year ago as a Master Weaponsmith. Just now you have a little better resources to work with, and maybe 2 extra points to throw into experimentation.

my business is doin ok so far. but that's cause it is mostly off of grenades
it is true that JtL has lowered the customer base for a while. but that wont last long at all. I don't care what anyone says, the WS profession will always be strong. I'm glad to be a MWS now and i can only get better from here
