Thread: Is this a good Laser Rifle?

Starsider has been ripped the hell off in a big way... with all of our best resources my lasers are a paultry 39-384 5.9 speed. That's with the ABPH only, and my handlers are 19-39 -.40.

Tolerable, but nottop of the line unless your server never had a good link-steel aluminum. Lowca laser rifles are 40-396 5.7 (adv power handler, normal rifle barrel) and several other servers have better than that.

Probably, unless the market price for high-end lasers on your server is something ridiculously low like 9k.

Im on chilastra and the best link-steel will produce 41-391/5.8 laser rifles. I charge around 15k for them and they sell at a rate I am comfortable with. Dont forget to equip a 0ham scope, your customers will love the added accuracy.

I'm on Chilastra and make a 41-392, 5.8. I sell for 13k. So they can be a bit better . . . but you're doing pretty good.

New ones I made on Scylla are 41-402 5.6 speed. haM is 57

5.1 speed 711 max damage, is this good for a Laser Rifle, and if so when will i get enough speed to make it faster?

It kinda matters if it's sliced or not as well as whether or not it has a power-up. However, I'd say that's at least decent by Eclipse standards. I've seen many, many laser rifles that are worse and some that have a max upwards of 900 (pre-slice and power-up if I recall).

To get more speed, just move up the Rifle Special Abilities branch. Until then, you can throw a speed power-up on it if you like. They tend to drop a rifle's speed by around 1.0 or so.

depends.


what are the HAM costs on it ?


and does it have a powerup ? if so what stats on the powerup ?


and is it sliced ?



also what is the original ? does it have an adv scope + stock ? or just scope ?


just to give you an example, with a dmg slice and powerup my regular plain ol adv scope laser rifles do around 680-700 points for max dmg while retaining 56-59 mind cost.


my adv scope + stock rifle can go up to 800+ points but that one will have 96 point minimum mind cost, so as you see it will be almost useless as most high HAM cost weapons once the combat revamp goes live.

Kez...


I have NEVER seen an un-sliced Laser greater than 600, much less 900. How could anyone possibly make these? We've both been riflepersons for a long time. My best Laser is only 631 max damage (sliced, NOT powered up). Have I been shopping in the wrong stores?? 900?? If they're not loot, then I think they must be illegal.

To make a LR 600 max dam you would need a +150 krayt tissue.


I have one LR which is 680 max dam sliced w/o powerup
