Thread: Help a swordsman...

A guy told me the other day that he has a 2.7 speed powerhammer. Man, would that help me out if I could get that speed. Mine is 30% speed sliced and only 3.8. Does anyone know how to craft a PH like that? Would that require exceptional reinforcement cores from geo cave or something? What is a good damage and speed stat for those geo reinforcement cores? Could reinforcement cores be crafted from the geo schematic that would get speed lower? Overall, what is the best way to get a better PH besides ackalay bones because that thing is never there when I get down there. One last thing, I looted some sword cores with a slightly higher minimum dmg than max dmg, do I need to get them changed by someone? Will they cause a glitch? Thanks for anyone willing to help the ignorant

i believe you would need a power hammer of 4.3 with a 35% speed slice to get a speed of 2.795. I don't know if this rounds to 2.7 or 2.8 but a high quality component drop should get you a power hammer of maybe 4-4.2, so with a good speed slice then your sorted.

or you could just stick a speed power up on it........

I have had a few genosian power hammers that were sliced down to 3.6 and had 497 max damage now those are some nasty boys, but if you put a 16% speed pup on it then it goes to 3.1 only but at 3.6 as a master swordsman I would much rather use a damage pup.

Here is what you would need for a 2.7 speed PH which all this seems illogical to me...

1)Geo cores that are looted and are speed cores that drop the speed to 4.9.

2)35% speed slice to drop the speed to 3.2

3)16% melee speed pup to drop the speed to 2.7

I have never seen cores to get a PH to 5.0 yet so 4.9 is impossible to me. Plus what is the damage on his 2.7 PH I would much rather plop plop a yellow cube and a solidifying agent in a Power Hammer to get like the 497 damage I quoted then get it speed sliced to 3.6, at master that will be more useful with a damage pup than speed pup on a PH with speed looted cores that usually have odd ball or nasty damage numbers.

Yes his 2.7 speed hammer I am sure had less damage than if he had aimed for damage. But using rem's calulator I would benefit more from a faster hammer for headhit 3. Until I find more speed attachments, speed will always be better DPS. I have found more cores with higher min dmg than max dmg, can someone tell me if this is a problem, and what I should do about it?

Do you know if the hammer was crafted, or was it looted. There is one currently on auction in my servers forums (Radiant) that is apparentlyExceptional loot. It may be one of these.

as for the cores with Higher min than max. by my understanding . As long as they are not put in a weapon that makes the min more than the max they are fine. Due to the large spread between min/max on a power hammer it should never be an issue, but with the fencer batons it can ocasionaly cause a problem if the min is extremly high.

Yes he said it was crafted and I emailed the AS he said crafted it. Thanks for the clarification with the min/max.

Could someone please tell me about what quality is good for looted cores and about how good can a core be crafted in terms of min/max dmg and speed reduction? I have found reinforced cores with 63 min, 37 max, and -.43. I have also found sword cores with 40 min, 27 max and -.42. Are these better than what can be crafted?

I don't have my WS character on at the moment so I'm not ecatly sure on speed, but adv ref cores on radiant are 41-41 damage approx -.54 or -.6speed... Sword cores are same speed but 43-43 damage.
