Thread: DE10 Barrel Colors???? Plz answer this!

Okay, I have an auction going in the trade forums and people were asking about the coloring of the barrel. Now is this the color in appearance or the color in the words or what?
And what does it matter anyway, does it give it mods or something?

The DE-10 barrelhas no listed stats, though the theory is that the stats are actually there, just hidden. Since most loot items with yellow text areusually superior to normal items of the same type, the opinion is that DE-10 barrels with yellow text are superior to barrels with white text. Experiments I've read about seem to bear this out.

If that is true how come I have 3 reinforcement cores, 1 with yellow text and 2 with grey text......all have exact same stats.

When items with better than average stats drop in a set, only the first item in the set will have its name in yellow. I believe DE10 barrels only drop one at a time, where as reinforcement cores usually drop in sets.

If that is true how come I have 3 reinforcement cores, 1 with yellow text and 2 with grey text......all have exact same stats.

no visible stats on them no but i had thought that they roughly add around 30 max damage as ive made a few and results were simialr(used different tissues ) but i could swear the last yellow de10 barrel i used add around 50 max damage. going to make a few more see how it gos.

would anyone be willing to clarify for me if the barrel is dropped loot or a reward as i have heard both.

just like to add something i noticed using white barrels. i made a de10 using a barrel i looted. it came out at 340max. my friend then asked for me to make one, using same materials and tissue it came out the same damage and spd. guess this means whites are not random stats, cant comment on yellows as ive never used one.

i made a yellow barrel and white barrel back to back. The yellow barrel had +10 more wound and +40 more range mods than the white one did. I am unsure on the damage difference because I used 2 different types of krayt tissues (+30s and +50s). the +30tissue one was the only one to damage slice so despite lower range mods it is now worth more.

That is because the first one has yellow and all identicals are white text don't ask me why. But with de-10 barrels they only drop in singles soo its either white or yellow, yellow being better than white.

That could be, I don't remeber if they are all one drop (will have to check serials).
