if you notice someone buying a lot .. he is probably marking your stuff up and reselling. Just make sure he isnt laughing at your expense at the same time. I have seen WS go this route and have seen people mark them up as much as 3X the purchased price all the while laughing to his customers at how stupid that WS was. His customers, try to go there but that other guy was pretty consistent at keeping the vendor emptied out. The worst part about it is that the Weaponsmith's goal was branding/name recongnition and the only real customer was the guy poaching his stuff so nobody had a clue who he was. Eventually word got around and last I heard he raised his prices to what the other guy was fetching. He didnt sell the volume he once did, but he made 3X the profit per weapon, and his workload to make the same profit was reduced considerably.

Just thought you should know what to be on the lookout for. Another thing to consider is undercutting the market doesnt gain you access to cheap schematics either. The same loot-whore is going to want 4mil from you as he does any other smith despite he buys your weapons at a fraction of the cost of the guys paying him the 4mil for said schematics. So much for good karma eh?

@EEMAN That weaponsmith deserved it.

@ Dsurfman always remember prices are dependable on the server, Brias economy has been hit by inflation pretty high, and always watch out that your ROI is high enough to at least reach your break-even-point.

Why do I have so low prices?

For a successful business a WS needs to follow three rules:

Well first of all, know your products, know your competitors and know customers.

Adappt your products to the need of your customers, in order to do this you need to stay in touch with them and ask for feedback and be honest.

First thing after I had my start up capital together I went around checked the prices of the competitors and picked a perfect spot to place a house (man was I lucky with the spot)

I researched and wrote down the best stats on weapons without using loot components as a benchmark.

Then I researched what resources in the past year have been the best and tried to get access to them the best I could. Before I opened up my business I made sure my quality was from the beginning right (cant redo a first impression), then listened very carefully to customers. One of the biggest mistakes WS do when they achieve a certan high quality is they make only one type crates of a certain weapons, some customers want a higher speed then damage (=> i.e dont use a stock + speed slice), others want a very low ham cost and high accuracy etc.... best thing is to make different crate types of a certain weapon after you know your customers, they want to have the feeling as if they have their own personal weapon.

I chuckle when my competitors say you´re doing a mistake undercutting the market prices... you wont keep up with the demand etc , well I calculated very good have enough different typs of crates, resources plenty. While they dont adjust their prices, they are continuously losing market shares to me . If a customer asks me what stats my weapons are I can tell them exactly, because I have them writen down, I dont send them away saying, go look for yourself. Statisticly only every 20th unhappy customer will give you feedback without asking.

I´ve had about the 15th customer after the first four weeks of business who said "from now on I will only shop for weapons at your house" - and they did, thanks

I always calculate my ROI so that my cash flow index is easily high enough to bypass the total break-even point and make a big profit (and happy customers).
