My smith is still only a 10 pt smith, cant afford any more skill tapes right now, but I started making stuff anyway. The past few days Ive made VKs Hammers and Gaffi's. As I have never used Hammers or Gaffi's i figured id ask you guys how I compare right now =P

My VKs are
2.2 Speed
30-133 damage
34% wound
948 condition

My Gadefirri(spelling?) Batons are
3.6 Speed
127-216 damage
27% wound
959 condition

My Hammers are
5.5 speed
132-458 Damage
32% wound (i think)
and dont remember the condition =P

so tell me honestly, how do those compare? like i know most people go far and wide for 145 VKs for normal hunting and that..but did I do alright? whatcha think? Thanks for your time all.

Well they dont compare too well, to be honest. It would be hard to sell them to anyone who already shops elsewhere :

Your problem is materials, you need to build up an inventory. You should ocnentrate on one are first to get it competitive. I too am a 10-point WS so the only difference is our resources. My values are from memory and may be 1-2 pts out but will be close enough. All wounds are about 10% better.

My VKs are
2.2 Speed
30-133 damage 38-147
34% wound
948 condition

My Gadefirri(spelling?) Batons are
3.6 Speed
127-216 damage 135-226
27% wound
959 condition

My Hammers are
5.5 speed
132-458 Damage 141-478
32% wound (i think)
and dont remember the condition =P

Perhaps concentrate on some of the weapons using less resources, swords, scythesetc. And get some high quality metals in. From here you can start to build a base. I spent2 months collecting resources before I even attempted a vendor. Indeed, I checked the 3 big names on my server and until I was witihin a few points with a weapon I didnt put the weapon up.

Now this approach requires cash. Which you may not have. So heres another approach. All the weaps you are making with a HIGH slice would be nice. Im talking 27%+. This would give you a sellable weapon. Consider getting smuggler and until you have the cash for the resources only sell by vendor your high slices. Youll still be less than your competitors high slices but wepaons that slice over 30% on most vendors last only a few minutes anyway !

hmmm ok...you say resource difference, the VKs i can understand, my fuel quality was kinda low, but it was the best stuff i could find. for the other two the lowest stat i had in any of what the parts/weapon used was 912 i think it was, the lowest SR on the metals for the weapon itself was 954. But I will believe you as I am new to this Thanks for your input Warg

Well also consider what you are getting with your components. If your resources for the weapons themselves are as good as you state, take a look at what you are making your components with.

My SR's are all 970+ which can be the difference.

Also spend the time on the cores to make sure you build from a good assembly.

NEVER accept a moderate in schematic for a subcomponent.

I usually make one with goods and greats and keep it. Then make a few more in an attempt to get an amazing and do better.

With my cores the damage line fills to the last bubble and is 93-96% experimented. This can have a huge impact on the final build.

I experiment cores 2 bubbles at a time and 1 bubble at a time for the last two bubbles. Any extra's left over due to an amazing I put into RANGE.

A small difference in a vibro motor or core makes a big difference in final assembly

wow, i didnt realize that a diff of 20 in a stat would do that much, appreciate the info =)
