How would that change / effect our profession if it was added?

It would be nice to have HAM be an option when I get a smuggler to slice my personal use weapons sometimes... however...

When I want a damage slice, that would make it even harder to get

i think thats a good idea HAM stats should b able to b sliced just like all the other stats i agree with u and i also agree that if that was added its only fair that they all get the same 33% chance of poping up

As much as it sounds like it would be a good addition, you'd also have to think of the effect it would have on a weapon with like 7/14/7 (something like a vibroblade?). get it sliced for 35% HAM ... whoopee it changes to 4/9/4. Having 3 different ways to slice one item would result in even more overpricing of weapons with a good Dmg/speed/HAM slice depending on which slice was most optimal on a specific weapon. A t21 with a good damage slice is always more desireable (at least to a master rifleman) than a t21 with a speed slice. add a HAM slice, and the chance of getting a damage slice, let alone a good one, decreases even more. In my opinion it wouldn't work too well... ugh can you imagine a 35% dmg sliced t21 going for 500k-1mil credits?

for that price people would just buy a crate of T21s and have 'em sliced until they get what they want.

But yeah, you nailed the only problem I could see with having HAM sliceable. It lowers the chance of getting the "diserable" slice even more. Most players want Damage @ 35%. They don't want a 22% speed.

Anyways, maybe if a weapon could only be sliced once (or maybe even twice), but you could choose "Slicing style 1" or "slicing style 2", it would be better. Style 1 could be randomly between speed and damage, and style two could be random between range (or wound) and HAM.

I've sold31mil credit damage sliced T21s inmy career.I will sell you an unsliced T21 for 100k, take the gamble yourself. Usually any sliceunder 30% depreciates a weapon, regardless of how minimal the effects are. What about the Krayt T21 that comes out with a measly slice in the teens, man that's a humbler.

I'm an avid spokesman for a seperation in slice types. Speed and Damage. Still keep results random, just tweak it so its more configurable to the play style of the gamer. No reason to have a lower level slice, except if you are afactioned Smuggler trying to screw the opposing faction smith, that I can see.

As for a HAM slice, nah, its not required, just eat some Breath of Heavens and use a Coupler of Compensation(16% mind reduction). Melee pups would be obsolteted if you did something like this, all they do is modify the HAM and Range.

dang, you must play on a server where t21's are rare... here they're around 25k unsliced. 1-200k for a great slice.

I wouldn't say they were rare.

The ones made with the Polonium Iron from last year with 8xx OQare rare. Lotsa smiths have the Polonium Iron with 4xx OQ, but when it constitutes 85u of the weapon, its a vital ingriedient. I'm willing to overvalue it, some.

Plus I'm not gonna lie, I'm a greedy weaponsmith, preparing for my first Capital Ship purchase.
