I hear that the FWG5 is about to get nerfed, and I was about to hand over some krayt tissue and a feed mechinism to a weaponsmith to make a really awsome one. My question is, after the nerf, will it stay the same, or be "scaled" down? Iv never delt with weapon nerfs befor personally so I dont know, any info would be great. Id hate to waste the tissue and such for it to get screwed up in a week. Hopefully if I do this it'll stay the same so Ill be able to keep a good pistol. =)

Also, could someone give me some numbers on there changes? I havent heard anything specific...

"SWG? Multiplayer? oh yeah... If I had 1 penny for every time the phrase "solo group" was spoken in 1 single day of SWG I could retire. LOL. We'v got to face that this isent a multiplayer game, its a multiple person interaction simulation single player role playing game... So its a. MPISSPRPG. "-Me

dont think they will tinker with existing guns. All previous nerfs indicate that pre nerf items stay the same and eventually become worth a whole lot

- It's time the devs end the bitter fighting by giving the community a Non Jedi server. We have a few servers with TINY populations that could be changed to this ruleset. I support this idea because it punishes noone. - You can support it too. Click Here!

Just in case, I'd plan on running a hundred or so fwg5s to see what happens after the TC patch.

My reading of the current status of TC is that there is a bunch of stuff broken with it, and
the patch should roll out for another month. As a result, I expect we'll see it in 2 weeks.

I've seen armor peircing be retro nerfed. But doubt they will touch existing stats on guns since those vary greatly.

The t21 nerf was retroactive but that was a change in the underling stats for the gun that our experimentation are based on the FWG is just having a part removed as far as i know i dont think it will be retroactive.

Only the AP change was retro on the T-21. Pre-nerf T-21s still do +400 damage unsliced.

yay!

You are correct that curant per-nerf t21s do the smae damage( i have 2) but remember that the T21 was changed TWICE the first time ALL t21 on the servers where changed from Heavy AP to light Damage was reduced and SPd was lowered( so retroactive) then the second "nerf" left these guns at there currant damage reverted AP on ALL t21s to AP3 and made only NEW t21s do less damage. So anything is posible but i belive tht only new guns will be effected this time cause SOE knows that all guns currnantly being used will wear out quickly anyhow. My other chars LLC when from 950 cond to650 just tonight. this doesnt mtter for this gun cause i can make more but just shows how quickly that all guns in use will be gone.

I seriously doubt it will be retroactive. The nerf is that they removed the power handler. They can't retroactively remove it from already-built weapons. I highly doubt that the will tweak the stats on existing weapons, because that would require them to code in an entirely different change than the one they implemented, plus I can't see any real way for them to broadcast an effective decrease in the weapon stats. Any general decrease would effect the normal FWG5's much more than the super powered Krayt Fwg5's.

Usually they are not but they did hit all the harvesters, they could easely hit all the FGW5 in existance, with a flat -100 dammage +1 second speed.

They could do this but considering how many non-krayt non-advanced bph FWG5's there are in existence I tend to lean towards them not doing a d*mn thing

What happened to your T21 schematics after the nerf?

Yeah, but that's precisely why I was saying that they probably won't do that. Sure they could do -100 damage across the boards, but let's compare a Krayt FWG5 and a base FWG 5.

Krayt before damage mod - 300 (not that unrealistic, right?)

Base before damage mod - 200

now if they do an across the boards mod on the existing FWG-5's then that krayt drops down to 200, and the base drops to 100. You can see that the non-enhanced pistol suffers more in this instance, and the whole point of the nerf is to tone down the enhanced pistols.
