referring to insane powerful weapons that everyone wants and gets ... leaving the expert weapon smith with no market because everyone can have the best of the best at a cheap price.

You make the best product, you sell more of that product. After a few more hours of grinding and achieving master, you will wish you hadnt put this thread up. Its not fair to gate the masters who have put their time and money and resources into a profession just so you can make a little more cash. How much money does a person need anyway? I can sell my expert crafted DLT20a's and DH17 Short Carbines on the bazaar for 3k each ALL DAY LONG. I manage to go through a crate of each a week, and while thats certainly not a lot of money in anyone's book, thats more than enough to fund my harvesters and to buy whatever else I need for the week.

Nerfing others for your own good is never a good idea

This is unfair. There are like a ton of rare powerful weapons and no one is buying from those that don't have super rare resources to make these super rare weapons. Something has to be done to reduce the rare weapons i feel. what do you think about the over saturation of rare weapons?

true ... but i feel there needs to be a market for the little guy. Master should be charging a lot for their master products NOT trying to get rid of the little guy market! that is bad economics!

Ove, that is how it was. At first, when there were only a few Masters, they would charge huge amounts of credits for their weapons. Thus leaving the weaponsmiths that were skilling up a market for cheaper, but inferior weapons. Then, those weaponsmithst hit Master. Now, we see tons of Master Weaponsmiths, it is the one of the top 5 Mastered Professions. Naturally, compitetion set in and prices dropped among the Masters. Which did kill the lower level market. So, really unless you can rally all your server's Master Weaponsmiths, to make a set price for weapons. The non masters won't have a market to sell in.

It doesn't matter how much they charge because there is far too much money in the economy. Even a raw novice can make over 20k/hr doing destroy missions, and high-level combat professions can make over 10k per mission. Most people don't bother buying from lesser skilled crafters when they could go do another half hour of missions and buy from a master.

This has been discussed extensively, as it is not simply a problem for the Expert to Master gap. There's HUGE gap between masters and EVERYONE else, to the point where there is really only one viable economic status: Master. Mark my words, unless something's done about this (and we've discussed a LOT about what can be done), sooner or later, the current Masters will be wishing they hadn't been elitist about things. The "Well, guess you'd better quit WHINING and start GRINDING" type posts will turn into "God, why does everyone keep undercutting my prices??" Eventually, the only difference between weaponsmiths will not be their respective skill levels, but rather what kind of resources they hoarded. If everyone's a master, then "master" has no more meaning. And that's the current state of weaponsmithing. You're either a master, or you aren't. You're either in the game economically, or you aren't. You cannot survive as a low-level crafter because why would anyone buy your crappy guns when they can shell out some more cash for a better gun? The only thing that can save the profession from having a glut of masters (and thus a severe DROP in demand due to increased supply) is burnout among the current masters. But sooner or later, there will simply be too many masters for them all to survive economically, unless a real multi-tiered weaponsmithing economy comes into play.

Even if I quit smithing I could easily make 200k an hour doing missions if I even needed money. I keep smith anyways as it ensures I will always have the best quality gun.

Please dont blame your follow players. This is purely a creation of the devteam. Right now, THE only market for non-junk weapons is from a master WS. This is a design issue. Your follow players are simply using their abilities as best they can.

Plus there have been enough other bugs out there so people did not have to grind or used other bugs to get 100s or 1000s of tissues,etc.....

you think all the guys that have mastered in the last month aren't undercutting everyone else already?

its been happening for at least 4 weeks now and will only get worse, the people that have money put back and the ones that wait it out will survivie. My best suggestion is when you get that super rare high quality/conductivity metal, stock up on it, and just keep making weapons like normal.

I could care less who undercuts me, the folks that shop with me do so because of the way i treat them. It's all about servicing the customer at this point.

Hey guys, i'm not a master weaponsmith or anything, but what has happened with the architecture profession is that the master architects have taken architects that are not masters in, and are having them craft components for them for money.

I don't know if you can apply this to the weaponsmith profession, but i am just putting this info out there in case there are craftable items that the non-master weaponsmiths can make for the masters.
