You will primarily need mineral harvesters. I would recommend having maybe two gas, two chemical, and one flora (you only need it for wood), the rest I would get as mineral. Gas would probably be second most important in my opinion as Irolunn Reactive Gas is used in Advanced Blaster Power Handlers, and you will want to gather as much as you are able when a good one comes out. Aside from that, schematics do not call for many Specific gasses or chemicals (Inert petros do not evenhave specific classes, they are either a Polymer or a Lubricating Oil and are used in small quantities in schematics that call for them). On the other hand, you will have to collect varying types of all sorts of metals and several ores (although ore is also used in small quantities most of the time). The main thing is going to be metal, metal, and more metal.

Yup, mineral is the big one. Keep an eye out for good coppers and steels in particular, of all different types.

why copper and steel in particular ? iron and alum are needed the same, someone missing phrik, titanium, linksteel and maybe even chromium alum, or kammris, doonium, dolovite, axidite,... iron will have hard time getting business

Anyway ,while having flora for wood isnt so important (cause stocked weapons and hmm staves lol are in low demand) you will need many gas harvs (with less than 5-6 you wont have enough irolunn gas when it spawns, and even an OQ of 10 is worth it on some servers so it's not only for a good irolunn, it might be for any irolunn) but a couple chemical can be enough for good polymer and liquid petrochem

Having a nicefleet of mineral harvestersis a must. Even when there is no weaponsgrade materials to harvest, you can mine grind stuff to sell. Resource selling is not a bad sideline. If possible, work with a couple of close associates with avaialble lotsto help you.....supply the harvesters, maintenance & power, and put them on the payroll. They may want super weapons in trade. Be ready to mine off planet.

Having one large gas is a must. I have two gas harvesters and three chemical harvesters. Most of the time they collect dust, but I have found you cannot depend on most professional miners to keep you supplied when something good comes out and you need it to survive as a weaponsmith. As a master architect, I will make emergency harvesters if a super material surfaces and load up. I sell the extra harvesters later. For instance, the best polysteel copper ever has surfaced on my server and I have many harvetsers going (I work with great associates with lots)....collected over 350 k in a couple of days. I also have a fleet dropped on a great Quad steel. Like I said, I depend on myself for vital supplies. I will utilize a professional miner for such things as wood - something that is not as critical.

So, in summary, have plenty of harvesters in reserve of all types. The deeds will not go bad,and they are sure nice to have handy when a sweet resource avails itself to harvesting. I would suggest having a fusion or two and ALWAYS mine for power and stockpile it. I have three fusions always running when the radioactive is available. The stockpile allows me to relieve the fusion lots when a great resource shifts in as needed.

As a side note, when you have a stockpile of resources, you will find it can last quite a while as a weaponsmith. I am still trying to get out of the the architect mentality or quantity. Over 350k of copper is way more than I need, but I refuse to sell it...at this time. May auction it off later when it is extinct.
