Following a bit of research on SWGcraft I've identified quite a few resources that I need to make good weapons and components.
I've made a "shortlist" of specific resources that are within 95% of the theoretical maximum. I already have quite a few required, especially for subcomponents, but there are a few that I just can't find anywhere. Typically these are many months old and I don't hold out much hope of finding them for a while.
So I'm asking other weaponsmiths; say you have three out of the five resources for a weapon, all the best ones, but then the final resource are not as good, say 80% of the maximum, would you still bother to make the weapon?
Would it make more of a difference if the 80% resource was the majority of the weapon (e.g. ditanium in a T21) or a very minor part?
Otherwise it seems I'll be stuck doing about 4 different weapons until I can get these other resources. I'd try to do a bit of research but I hate wasting resources

Get Fooman's weaponsmithing tool off swgcraft.com.
Enter in all your resources.
Pull up the schematic and it will tell you the effect that different resources have on
the theoretical max experimentation.
Works great and you won't waste any resources
