Hello all,

I wondered how big the difference between "advanced" and "normal" components is?

Is the advantage good enough to spend hours or days to find the special resources for the advanced stuff?

What should I prefer when I, assumably, have the choice between a "normal" component crafted of high quality resources (900+) and an "advanced" component crafted of low to medium quality resources (around 600)?

Is the difference worth the extra work?

The general assumption between normal and advanced components is, a poorly made advanced component is better than a perfect normal component.

Now there are some exceptions to this, Blaster barrels come to mind, since the advanced version which wants conductivity is made out of non-conductive materials.

Since everyone's resource hoard is different, the best way for you to learn this, is to make one of each type and compare them. Maybe you like the advanced barrel, which adds almost the same damage as the normal, but also adds to the range mods. Or maybe you will prefer the single stat boost of the normal barrel.

This is mostly a matter of preference, and/or what the customer is looking for.
