Recently I have noticed an interesting pattern in my weapon crafting. Everytime I make a weapon my first attempt ends up as a critical failure. I had been on vacation for most of May and have only started making some weapons in the last few days. I have attempted to make one of each type of heavy weapon, excluding RL, and a D18. Each one has resulted in a critical failure on the first attempt.
After crit failing on all of the heavy weapons I was hesitant to make any more weapons so tested the D18 and it failed. I do not know if it is doing it once for each weapon or just the first time I try to craft a weapon always. I have made droids and aritsan things and have not experience this problem. It led me to think it may be a side effect from last week when weapon crafting was broken completely so I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them?

Umm, no...are you saying EVERY weapon you attempt to craft fails on the first experimentation try, and if so, how many experiment points are you attempting?
Or are you saying the initial build fails, after placing ingredients and components into the schematic, resulting in a loss of everything?

Yep, crit fails on the assembly. But like I said I have only attempted to build four different weapons. They all crit failed on the first attempt.Already cost me21subcomponentsso it is not exactly something I want to massively test. Maybe I just got really really unlucky.

you have bad luck.. I do custom builds all the time using my +28 assembly and BE Polyanna Crafting Cake and I have only had I think 1 failure in over a month since I started using the food.
For best results either buy some weapon assembly tapes or pick up some of the BE food, I think thecrate of foodI have is +14 or +17 to assembly.

The randomizer is crap and can get stuck on a particular result and cause long strings of consecutive crit fails or mod success in experimentation at a certain point. Wait a few minutes, run around a bit, and do some other stuff and it'll unstick itself.

I know how the randomizer for crit fails and what not suck. Thats why I did not think much of it at first. Crit fails on each of the heavy weapons was bad luck i figured. But then after a couple days and making several non weapon things I made a D18 and it crit failed. Made me curious. I have yet to get a chance to get back into the game to see if my bad luck is holding.

I had this problem while grinding for MWS. I have 8 crafting tools running in a macro. I punch the macro button and kick them off, when i get to the end, i chat with my guild a bit, then I punch the macro again. What I found was that the first one failed 9 times in a row at one point. Also, this seems to be worse whenever I have any packet loss. I'm actually chalking this up to bad luck. I bet that had I gotten an amazing sucess when the PL started, that I'd have gotten all amazing sucesses.

I was using that drink that gives a bonus to assembly...( I can't remember the name, because I threw it in a lake )
I've never had so many moderates / failures as when I was using that drink.
