Thread: Crafting stations + city bonus

Can anyone give me the definitive on how the crafting station, crafting tool and city specialisations affect the crafting process?

I have a +15 crafting tool. I assume this is the highest?

I have the choice of using the +40 station in my house, a +44.5 station in my guild hall, or in another city (that is a Research Center) a +40 station.

For one-off weapons, scythes etc, would I be better off traveling to the Research Center? What about for factory run schematics (where I will keep trying to get the best possible)

TIA

i saw a fantasic analysis of experimentation rates somewhere with 100 attempts in different cities & with different tools (could be on swgcraft.com) - appologies to the author for not remembering your name because you did a great job - what i remember most out of it was that a town with an assemblybonus gave a 4 times less chance of a crit faliure and a 4 times greater of a amazing success .

always use max tools and stations as a matter of course anyways.

hope this helps

Yeah I know the thread mrtim mentioned as well. Good luck figuring out a search that uses assembly and/or experiment without pulling up every thread ever posted here. hehe

Anyway I do all of my crafting in a manufacturing center (the one with assembly bonus), I'd rather avoid crit fails on combine regardless of what I'm building.

I have not crit failed on assembly in quite some time once I discovered Pyollian Cake thats been Bioengineered. If its really important (like a custom build w/ looted components) Bioengineered Bespin Port is something you own as well. This will save you a lot of aggrevation

- It's time the devs end the bitter fighting by giving the community a Non Jedi server. We have a few servers with TINY populations that could be changed to this ruleset. I support this idea because it punishes noone. - You can support it too. Click Here!

Actually I don't craft anything without pyol and bespin. But you will crit fail eventually, it happens. And I just realized the mayor of my city changed it to a Research center from a manufacturing center. There goes the assembly bonus, the only reason I moved there because I'd rather get a crit fail on exp than on assembly.
