1great resault with 10 points, or 10 great resaults of 1 point each? I have tried testing this myself, but I have yet to get all great resaults in a rowto compare with.

if you dump all 10 points you will most likely have a moderate hidden in there even if it says "great success". Dumping 10 points will give you a higher chance to fail on the exp, I usually only use up to 4 at a time myself.

An item with 10 1-point great successes will come out the same as one with 1 10-point great success. Large allocations of points have smaller chances of getting a good result, and 1 point at a time tends to have at least one crap result because of the large number of attempts. 2-4 points at a time is a good compromise between the two, and will require less attempts to get a perfect schematic.

I do find occasioanlly that putting all your eggs in one basket does actually lead to a lower set of stats on the finished product.....but only by a point or two damage...and maybe 0.1 speed.
Why this is....I have no idea.
I normally use 4 pts at once

Yes, don't do all at once...it's better to parse them out...I generally do 4 points first then 3 or 2 till all are gone.

The game only tells you what the last experiment point applied was.. I rmember a discussion about this waaaaay back. Basically there is a hidden moderate in there somwhere causing the stat to be lower.
