Thread: Question about weapon speed formula

Not sure if this is the place to ask this question, but I imagine it's an issue a WS would care about, so I'll try.

Does anyone know how your weapon speed stat (i.e. 2 Handed Melee Speed) affect the actual speed of your attacks? I know about the multipliers for specials, but I want to know if anyone knows the formula. Like if I have a 5.4 Speed PH and lets say +75 2-Hand Speed (Not sure what master gets, just using the stat as an example) what speed wouldmy default attacks hit at? The primary reason I want to know the formula is to determine how fast a weapon needs to be in order to have me strike at maximun (1.0s) speed.

Any insight from the game mechanics gurus? I'm looking for the actual mathematic formula (or your best guess...)

first this belongs in the swordsman forum.

but here's a site that will you help figure out how many tapes you'll need:

While I don't understand how a general question about weapon speed in which I just happened to use a PH as a random example belongs in the swordsman forum (I actually wanted the info for my lightsaber, but sure as hell can't post anything productive in the Jedi forum), this site is awesome, and is exactly what I wanted. I don't care about the calculator, I can't get lightsaber speed tapes, but the mathematical formula is what I needed, and it's there and it's beautiful
