I've got +19 in weaponsmith assembly CAs. I really need to get to +20 to get that extra bump (two bumps?) in assembly success right?

Yes. Whether its 20 exp or 25 exp, you only get 2 additional exp points (since its 1 exp point per 10 you get from SEAs).
Assembly caps at 25.

Ok got it ... thanks a bunch for the info but darn, I thought I was almost there with +19 ... now I see that instead of needing just one more assembly point I need 6

You need +20 experiment skill points to get 2 experiment points during crafting. Assembly gives you a better crafting result. And, you want +25 for assembly but only +20 in experiment.

I have the +20 in experimentation and am getting the two extra experimentation points but just to make sure, up to +25 in assembly before assembly caps? ... thanks ...

the FS skill tree gives you only +20. Need SEA's for the rest or its in the prof skills already?

As I understand it the FS skills do not add up to points in assembly or experimentation. They just increase your chances of getting a better success.

Sorry now I'm confused. FS skills do NOT translate 1:1 as experimentation and assembly skills, whatever the craft? I thought they existed to help remove the requirements for SEA's. That is, with FS skills you wouldn't need +20 in SEA's. Am I wrong? ![]()
Edit: yes -- I was totally wrong
