Thread: A really dumb question.

I'm still working to figure out what exactly are important stats for building items. So Let me copy from a very good guide posted here as reference to my question

Novice Weaponsmith Schematics

Blade Vibro unit(UT 100)

1. Requires 15 units of Steel
2. Requires 10 units of Solid Petrochemical Fuel
3. Requires 8 units of Copper
4. Requires 1 Vibro Blade Unit Enhancement (Optional)

Blaster power handler(CD 66 OQ 33)

1. Requires 5 units of Inert Petrochemical
2. Requires 3 units of
Copper
3. Requires 3 units of
Low Grade Ore
4. Requires 5 units of
Metal
5. Requires 10 units of
Reactive Gas
6. Requires 1 Blaster Power-handler Enhancement (Optional)

Okay so to make the Blade Vibro unit as strong as possible I simply look for all of the listed resources with as close of Unit Toughness to 1000 as possible? As it says UT100? So are OQ an other stats not relevent?

And for the Blaster Power handlers I looks for the above items with Conductivity over 660 and OQ above 330 for the best outcome regardless of higher stats? With the assumption that everything over said level will make it stronger. IE copper with CD of 700 and OQ of 700 would be better than copper with CD of 100 and OQ 0f 900 because it doesn't meet both basic requirements even though the OQ is higher?

I think once I finally understand this, I should be okay.

Correct. If it states it's lookin' for UT only. Then some steel with a UT stat of 1000 and then 100 on everything else is better than a stell with a UT stat of 990 on all stats. All other stats are irrelevent (sp?).

Like in the ABPH's, it looks for 2 different stats. ONLY those two stats. If it's 50/50, it's easy to figure out what is better, because all you have to do is add them up. But, if it's at 66/33, then the conductivity (for example) would be more important. Give me a minute to figure out the mathmatical formula to figure what resource is better..... I'm watching "the Fresh Prince of BelAir (sp?)" and not in the mood for math, lol.

those are meant to be %s.

Much more simple and effective explanation than mine....

So on say the Blaster Power Handlers CD would account for 66% of the item effectiveness and OQ would account for 33%?

So in essence find the highest CD values and then cross references them with the highest OQ values on that particular item?
