Anyone figured out how to do this? I've tried the \#ff0000Insert name here but it comes out white still
So... how? I've seen a Krayt Scatter pistol in red so I know its possible

It was possible when the game first came out, but they took that ability away 4-5 months into live and as far as I know it isn't possible anymore

There are a lot of buff packs on the vendors on Chimera with colours in there names - they are definitely recent crafts

I know you can name packs like that, do you mean the actual buff thing or the pack they are sold in?

Objects that can be re-named after crafting -- such as backpacks and other bags -- can have colors added to their names.
Items can no longer have color added to their names at the "name object" state of crafting assembly as they could when the game went live. This functionality was removed around 6 months into the game's life without much explanation as to why.

They took it out partially because of the "Premium Auction" Skill meant nothing as red/blue/green names stood out more than a regular colored "*" next to the name. Also, by default since names always started with a \# they were typically always sorted to the top of the list on Bazaar.

Hrmn. I'd not heard that, but it makes sense. Thanks for the info. =)
