Thread: Help with Capped ALR update!!

If you had 183's it would up your build 6 points on damage.


The other points are going to come from your resources (assuming you maxed experimentation on your final build). Try the WS buff, but the increase in resource quality may not be worth the possible risk of worse experimentation results (see the discussions on this board re: do the buffs help or hurt).


ALR's are tough to double cap on certain servers due to available resources.

What did you experiment the ABPH's on, I assume SAC first, then? - you may be able to eek out a few points if you put the remaining points into damage rather than speed.


The crafting buffs should definitely help with getting some extra damage on the final build, I assume that SAC was capped or near cap from just assembly, then a couple of points into SAC then all into damage? The increase in the resource cap would have helped.

Well I used 5 resource deeds to get my ABPH resources so I know those are good.


My rifle barrels are not the greatest, but I can get those to -8 sac.....havnt tried to hard for -9 tho.


I dont remember exactly what my sac was on combine...think like -13 from the abph, -4 from the rifle barrel, -24 from the stock if I remember right. Anyway it was capped 82 Sac on assembly. I was able to experiment 97% on damage and the other 2pts to speed. I know Ahazi can cap....I have seen them. I just need to know things like.....if you get -44 sac on your subcomponents do the rest into damage.... or my barrels are ??...my abph are ?? and my stocks are ??, so then that way I can compare.



ps...I think my issue was I overdid the SAC on my subs. If I knew what to shoot fore on each component I could adjust from there and eek out those few extra points. What am I like 4pts off?

Yeah, just what I was thinking when you mentioned a -25 stock and you capped on assembly. You might have gone waay overboard with SAC in your components.


If you are unsure, build a non-enhanced rifle exactly the way you would have with the enhancers, then do some addition on paper to see if you are overdoing it. It's also a good habit to build a test rifle before you do custom builds so you can tweak your expermintation to fit the enhancers and results you're looking for.

I made about 20 rifles before this one.....and I did hit 90 sac 1000 dam that they say is needed. The only problem is I am not sure how I did it since I changed my sac on different things. Ill write it down this time and go for it again.

Ok made my first attempt at a double capped ALR. Need some help.


I used

177 dam

-.75 speed

-8 sac enhanced cells


the rifle turned out to


1173 damage

2.64 speed

13 accuracy

82 sac....


Was wondering if anyone can share what there subcomponent stats are before they go for the combine so I know where to get mine. I know my cells are not the 183/184 but I figure I am really close just need to move a few exp points around. Any advice?


Ps... What would you guyz sell this at?


EDIT.... I should add I was NOT in a research city, and I did NOT have the entertainer buff. Also just a quick question...if I have 177 cells....If I get the 183's would that add 6 damage to the assembly or 18 since ALR's take 3 cells?

You _sure_ you are hitting 1000 without using Pre-CU abph? If you are, you should be able to easily hit 1184 with 184 dmg EPC's. You will probably want to add a couple points toward dmg to make sure you don't fall short. Write down your points and experiment your prototype the exact same way as your 1000 dmg model and it should hit 1184 with the right enhancers.

Yes these are post cu ABPH's. I just got 2 more resource deeds to make up for only getting 26% on my rifle barrels...perhaps that will help some. Anyway, I will post here in abit with what I found.

This yielded a 1000 damage / 88 sac ALR. I had 1 amazing success on the final Sac experimentation....


Any suggestions? I am waiting for my Bespin port to leave so I can try again on the barrels and stock see if I can get them abit better. How do these rank on your servers for double capping?

what kind of speed do you end up with? i can play around on the Bria server and double cap, but then end up with a horrible speed of 2.6ish

Just based off of memory so may not be 100% accurate but if I recall correctly my stats are roughly as follows.


APBH

20-42 damage

-8 SAC


Weapon Stock

I use prenerf Stocks

-20 SAC

0 speed



Rifle Barrels

I use prenerf here as well

20-40 damage

-6 SAC


I'd have to double check my stats, or perhaps someone else can verify them for me here for the prenerfs at least but should be pretty close. I usually end up with right around a 996ish max rifle with 82 SAC and around 2.55ish speed.


I'm sure I could cap damage/sac without any problems if I hand crafted a couple of the other pieces instead of using pre-nerfs, but I get much better final results using prenerfs and don't lose that much in damage.

My speed usually hits 2.6 also, but it double caps the damage/sac. Then you can rely on CA/AA's or a speed slice. My current weapon is 1170 / 82 sac and 12% speed sliced. My base speed was like 2.2 but my modified speed is like 1.2. Cant ask for more other then the 13 extra damage. However I dont feel like paying millions for 13 damage....hopefully I will loot some 180+ cells and make it myself. Now....I have yet made one wiht the 180's and with the extra -8 sac on them I can cap sac on assembly and use those extra 2pts in experimentation rather then sac. I hope anyway.....
