Kind of new here in the WS forum but i got the nagging suspicion that this is the wrong forum for that

Yep, this is for issues relating to the profession. Price checks are inappropriate here because 1) server economies are different, and 2) 95% of everyone in here isn't on your server. You did post on your trade forum, which is appropriate, soyou'll have to hope for an answer there. However, ifI were to answer that post

, I'd say 1 to 1.5 million tops, unless you came across someone who simply had to have a +3.

I think our friend is talking about one of the weaponsmith toolset kits as they have +5 weapon assembly, +3 Weapon experimentation and +5 weapon repair on them. Unless i'm mistaken of course and its not a belt. But these have +3 experimentation and on my server, Farstar, you can find them on vendor search for 21k lowest price and 1.5mill highest. Talk about a screwy economy but i know which one i'd buy.
