I heard that critical failures were taken out of the game, but sometimes I still get them, and the experimentation goes negative an di have to start over in that experimentation line.Whats going on?

Alright, one more question:
You need 20 points for 12 pointer, but the other 5 till cap are still useful right? Like a +21,+20 wepsmith would be worse than a +25,+25?

Yes, the more experimentation you have, the more likely that you will avoid the critical failures.

I believe critical assembly failures were removed. Critical experimentation failures still happen.

Correct. It used to be that if you got a crit assembly failure you lost the weapon and all resources you used to make it (like that 5 million dollar krayt tissue you just bought). It was the dread of crafters till they removed it. Now failures in experimentation is our greatestfear...
