Using an advanced projectile feed mechanism my Tangles come out with 108 max damage and around 3.2 or 3.3 speed. As far as I can tell, the quality of the control units makes no difference in the quality of the weapon.

He is right master artisan weapons make no impact. Most people use a tangle pistol to knock a stun on a npc or pc. Being stunned means you are more vulnerable and will take more damage. So its really a one shot weapon. After which you usually switch to a better weapon.

Tangles do not work this way..... Tangles do STUN damage... of course they have a chance of adding a stun state of being to anything it is used against but that is dependant on what special attack you use... reason why Stun damage weapons like Tangles, Jawas and Geo Pistols are liked in PvP is cause armor resists to Stun Damage are very small in comparison to all the others... so it is a faster killing weapon in some aspects

Now that is new I havent use a tangle in almost six months. So my recollectionmay be quite off. I do recall getting stun states off them. Though since I have a MBH alt I just use spray to do it now. You know I have some tangles tucked away. I might have to take them out and test them. See if at some point they were nerfed not to give states.
Anyone else have a clue as to whether these guns were altered at some point. I do recall useing this to put stun states on creatures. At one point.

Hey folks,
Made my first three tangle pistols every the other day. Great control units, great regular feed mechanism. Figured decent gun right? It sucked! Sliced it was like 31-87 3.5. I made them on the request of a few guild members. Are these things always this crappy. Is a stun damage of 87 really worth that much to PvPers? I know get Axidite and make adv. feed mechanism. but the shifts have sucked lately also. What is a WS to do? How are your guys (and girls) tangles turning out?

My Alt toon is 3-4-4-4 BH and yeah if you use specials to attack with you can put enemies in a "stunned state" ...if you are saying by not using specials and just firing a Tangle pistol regular and putting something in a stun sate ... i would like to see that I have been around since launch and never seen that happen ....does not mean it is not possible of course ...i'm just interested in knowing ... also i frequently use my Carbine that does energy damage and i put things in a Stun State also.... again Tangles are liked cause they are ok pistols that do Stun damage and do not break your bank ( like crafted Geo Pistols that also do Stun Damage) ....
