Well i've gotten tired of combat professions after mastering ch,ranger, marksman,bh,pistoleer, and scout ive decided to go weapon smith. I am also interested in doing doctor to help bring in more money, but the question I have is it worth it for me to go master smuggler so i can slice my own weapons for customers? Do you find that customers usually want sliced or unsliced weapons?

I'd go with one vendor for each. Some ppl like to buy sliced stuff, and some like to buy out-of-the-factory weapons. Not sure which is best, but I'd go with both

I have a vendor for each type, and I sell a really goodly number of both types so there really is a market for both.

I'm not a smuggler, early on though I helped several novice smugglers get up their slicing path with WUKs and Slicing practice carbines. So now I get low/no cost slices pretty much whenever i need.

I have one vendor for each. I am also a master smuggler, so I slice my own weapons. The only problem is Smuggler can tie up a fair amount of skillpoints and if the only reason you are getting it is to slice weapoins, it may not be worth it.
